Welcome to the only perfect way to start off your Platypus Day weekend: The Numbers Game! This is Volume 29 of the blog that breaks down the numbers of our favorite show.

After some uninspiring ratings performances throughout the Time Shift Weekend, Phineas and Ferb found its ratings stride once again with "The Remains of the Platypus", which aired last Friday, Ferb-ruary 24. Checking in with 3.337 million viewers, the new episode was Friday night's No. 2 rated cable program, topping new episodes of Jessie, A.N.T. Farm and Fish Hooks in the process.[1] While not quite strong enough for a Cable Top 25 appearance, it was the most-watched Phineas and Ferb episode of 2012 to date.

As good as those figures are, the episode's performance in its target demographics was even stronger. In Kids 6-11, "The Remains" was television's No. 2 program on the week, falling just 2 percent short of a new Victorious episode for the top spot. It also ranked No. 3 among Kids 2-11 and No. 4 with Tweens 9-14, scoring the highest ratings of the evening among all three age groups.[2] In the Adults 18-49 age group, the episode picked up a 0.5 rating.[1]

As mentioned above, we are celebrating the 2nd annual Platypus Day this weekend, and Disney is celebrating with two new Phineas and Ferb segments: "Mom's in the House" airs tonight, Friday, March 2 at 8:00PM Eastern (7:00 Central), and "Perry The Actorpus" premieres tomorrow morning, Saturday, March 3 at 8:00AM Eastern (7:00 Central) on Emoticon and then at 7:45PM on Disney Channel proper. You can celebrate by voting for Phineas and Ferb to win its first Kids Choice Award on March 31st. Until then, follow @RyanStoppable on Twitter, and remember...lie never numbers the that.
