Questions for Kelly Hu
Kelly Hu will be at the Emerald City Comic Con March 28-30th this year. We will find out in about a month what her schedule will be at the convention and whether she will be participating in any panels. She probably will, for her upcoming show called The 100, if nothing else.
If you have a question you'd like to ask her, post it here. We'll try to select a couple to have ready if the opportunity presents itself. We can't guarantee that it will happen, and at the moment we don't know if there will be any discussion or coverage of her work on Phineas and Ferb. Also, there's usually a limited amount of time for people to ask questions in a panel, so there might be more people wanting to ask questions than they have time for.

Left, right or center, something's amiss
Recently, Wikia announced that they were going to upgrade the MediaWiki software that runs all of their wikis. They have a lot of testing to do to make sure everything they've customized works with the new version. Some of the updates include making sure the code is HTML5-compliant. As such, the really old HTML commands wouldn't work any more or act weird.
When they announced this, the plan was for us to research the updates and prepare a guide so that we know what we have to do different. Basically, if we used old command A, we would have to replace it with newer command B. From the way they were talking, we thought we had about a month before we would be affected.

1st Annual BTVA Awards
I just came across a web site called Behind the Voice Actors. It is a database for the people who perform voice acting for TV, movies, video games, anime and more. As they say on their front page, it's more than just a list like the Internet Movie Database or even Wikipedia. It has pictures of each role and sound clips that you can listen to.
They are currently holding voting in their 1st Annual BTVA Awards. Now through Saturday, March 31, 2012 (I think - no end date has been specified), everyone can vote in the "BTVA People's Choice" sections that will go along with the official winners chosen by their staff. On April 1st, they'll show the winners for the Anime category. Afterwards, they'll show the winners in one category each day.

Easter egg contest
In the newsletter, I made the suggestion that we have an Easter egg contest. Normally you decorate the eggs just before Easter, but since the eggs would be voted on to determine which ones will be shown on our main page, we need to start on them ahead of time. If nothing else, you can get some practice and make new ones in April.
Walmart has a Phineas and Ferb Easter Egg Decorating Kit that includes stickers, three egg stands and 4 lenticular "tip ons". Other stores will have other decorating kits like those made by R.J. Rabbit (no relation) and Dye Works, and may also have this P&F kit, but you'll have to check in the store. Not all of them are listed on the store websites right now since they're a seasonal item.

Clemancy for blocked chatters
It has been over a week since I got the Chat behavior and guidelines to a point where I feel it addresses all of the concerns that have been brought up about our Chat.
Since we didn't have anything like this in place when most of the kickbans were set, I am considering going through all accounts currently kickbanned from Chat and removing the kickban. This will give everyone a chance to start over from a point where they know what behavior is allowed.
I realize that there were some people who were kickbanned for items listed in our block policy, so I will try to talk with the chatmods about why each person was kickbanned to determine if/when they should be unblocked.
In the future, we probably should go through the kickban list once or twice …
