Summer Block Buster[]
- This episode takes place in the spring season, following the events of Hamster & Gretel's season 2 finale.
- This is the second time an inator's name has been reused, since Doofenshmirtz had previously created a Vaporizer-inator ("The Remains of the Platypus") and two Destruct-inators ("Lawn Gnome Beach Party of Terror" and "Ready for the Bettys").
- This is the first time any of Phineas and Ferb's friends are shown in school. The boys themselves had been previously shown at school in a fantasy sequence ("Are You My Mummy?") and in a brief time skip ("Doof 101").
- This is the first episode where Ferb is voiced by somebody other than his original voice actor Thomas Sangster (not counting Danny Jacob or Dan Povenmire as they had done his singing voice), as David Errigo Jr. who voiced him in the Milo Murphy's Law special "The Phineas and Ferb Effect" and Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Candace Against the Universe, once again reprises his role.
- This also marks the first official episode of the series of David Errigo Jr. as the voice of Ferb.
- This is the third time Ferb wonders where Perry went. ("Fireside Girl Jamboree", "Lost in Danville")
- This is the first non-hour long episode not to play the theme song.
- This is the second time Candace does an evil laugh. ("Meapless in Seattle")
- This is the fifth time that Linda gets hit by an inator. ("Phineas and Ferb Interrupted", "A Real Boy" "Agent Doof", "Just Desserts")
- This is the second episode to end on a cliffhanger ("Where's Perry?"), not counting the hour-long episodes when split into two parts, and the first eleven-minute segment to do so.
- Outside of movies and other cameos, this marks the first appearance of both Django and Jenny since "The Inator Method", the first appearance of Coltrane since "Mandace", and the first appearance of Stacy since "Night of the Living Pharmacists".
- This marks the first appearance of the "Summer!" fly-by plane since Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Across the 2nd Dimension.
- Likewise, this marks the first use of the song "Gotta Get Gone" outside of the console releases (other than the DS version) of the Phineas and Ferb: Across the 2nd Dimension video game.
- One of the Big Ideas created by the Gang is the "Whack-A-Pest", which is the same one seen in the show's theme song.
- This is the second segment to run less than 11 minutes after "Atlantis". This was due to the length of its sister episode running 13 minutes.
- This segment runs for eight minutes and 34 seconds, making this segment the shortest one on record.
- Doofenshmirtz is not opposed to vaporizing chickens, possibly referencing his willingness to kill a chicken while on Feebla-Oot so the Chicken-Replace-inator can help them return home. (Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Candace Against the Universe)
- On Disney+, there is a "skip intro" button over the opening logo despite it lasting only five seconds.
Cloudy With a Chance of Mom[]
- Clocking in at about 13 minutes, considering its sister episode "Summer Block Buster" clocks in at about 8 minutes, this is the longest single segment of the series so far, albeit still shorter than the average 44-minute special.
- This is the second time one segment is a few minutes longer than its sister following "What Do It Do?"/"Atlantis".
- This is the fourth time Perry rejoins Phineas and Ferb but no one says "Oh there you are, Perry" ("The Fast and the Phineas", "One Good Scare Ought to Do It!", "The Klimpaloon Ultimatum").
- This is the fifth time Candace mentions that the "Mysterious Force" is responsible for taking away the Big Ideas ("Phineas and Ferb Get Busted!", "Candace Gets Busted", Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Across the 2nd Dimension, "The Doonkelberry Imperative").
- This is one of the few episodes that Doofenshmirtz succeeds on his scheme ("Hail Doofania!", "At the Car Wash", "That Sinking Feeling", "Robot Rodeo", "Split Personality", "Candace Disconnected", "Magic Carpet Ride", Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Across the 2nd Dimension, "Cranius Maximus", "Road to Danville", "Phineas and Ferb Save Summer", "Night of the Living Pharmacists", "Last Day of Summer").
- This is the second time Linda is responsible for the disappearance of the big idea after "Out to Launch".
- This is the third time Love Händel compare a weird event to one of their concerts (Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Across the 2nd Dimension, "Delivery of Destiny").
- Baljeet overcomes his fear of contractions briefly (as established in "Monster from the Id") after fixing the vaporizer-inator when he says, "Let's do this!"
Submarine Sandwich Submarine[]
- This is the second time Mom and Candace take part in a sandcastle building competition. ("Atlantis")
- Doofenshmirtz is shown to have a punch clock.
- This is the first episode (excluding movies) to feature the "Oh, there you are, Perry" line since "The Return of the Rogue Rabbit".
- Lawrence is absent in this episode.
- Starting from this episode until The Candace Suit/Agent T (For Teen), in the "Phineas and Ferb Theme", the phrase "There's 104 days" is changed to "There's another 104 days".
- It's revealed that Baljeet has five years of violin lessons.
- Fifth time Doof does the "Hey, is that [band name]?" joke. When he crashes into a sand sculpture of Love Händel he says, "Hey, is that Love Händel?" in reference to the first use of the joke. ("Dude, We're Getting the Band Back Together", "The Baljeatles", "Meatloaf Surprise", "Thanks But No Thanks")
- Doof never once calls his nemesis "Perry the Platypus", instead trying out calling him by his "given" name. But since he doesn't know what that is, he tries out "Pericles", "Periodontal" and "Periwinkle the Platypus".
- This is the first episode in Season 5 in which Doof succeeds on his scheme, as he managed to steal enough food that will feed him for weeks.
License to Bust[]
- This episode takes place after July 11, as Candace is said to have already turned 16.
- As of this episode, Candace has finally gotten her drivers license.
- This is the first time the Giant Floating Baby Head is seen underwater.
- This is the second time Candace tries to bust her brothers while driving ("Bubble Boys").
Dry Another Day[]
- This episode, alongside "Deconstructing Doof", are the first to premiere on the streaming service Disney+ before Disney Channel. The next seven half-hours of the season would also do the same as well.
- Footage of Candace chasing the ice luge in this episode was shown in the sneak peek for the "License to Bust" song segment during American Idol on May 12, 2025.
- This is the fourth time the big idea gets obscured by a truck after "The Magnificent Few", "Bubble Boys", and "Lotsa Latkes".

- Second time that Doofenshmirtz builds an inator that evaporates water. ("De Plane! De Plane!")

- Second time the boys made a water-related Big Idea that moves around town to beat the heat. ("Great Balls of Water")
Deconstructing Doof[]
- This episode, alongside "Dry Another Day", are the first to premiere on the streaming service Disney+ before Disney Channel. The next seven half-hours of the season would also do the same as well.
- This is the second time Candace trying to bust Phineas and Ferb as a method of seeking attention is brought up, with Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Candace Against the Universe being the first.
- "No One Understands Me" is the second duet song between Candace and Doofenshmirtz after "When Tomorrow is This Morning Again" from "Last Day of Summer".
- This is the first episode to heavily focus on the "mysterious force" concept, connecting Candace and Doofenshmirtz's experiences.
- An interesting running gag is shown in the episode as each time Dr. Shamai explains the Mysterious Force, Linda would either leave her seat or not really pay attention.
- It is shown how many people in Danville are affected by the boys' inventions and their constant disappearances thanks to Doofenshmirtz's inators, disclosing that not everyone is ignorant to the chaos and destruction caused by them.
- Dr. Shamai, being a real therapist, is able to connect the dots as he deduces the series' formulaic structure and instantly sees that Perry is the instigator of each inator that destroys the boys' inventions before anyone can see it. Because of this, Dr. Shamai feels that Perry must be exposed to put an end to the cyclical nature of every incident meaning Perry is the mysterious force who got rid of Phineas and Ferb's big ideas every day.
- This is the first time that O.W.C.A. is in danger of being exposed, owing to Dr. Shamai's psychological prowess figuring out Perry's spy identity.
Tropey McTropeFace[]
- Lawrence doesn't speak in this episode.
- So far, this episode contains the longest line of dialogue David Errigo Jr. has spoken as Ferb. Ferb's longest line is still the rousing speech he gave in "The Lizard Whisperer", which was provided by his original actor, Thomas Sangster.
- One of the few times Linda sees the boys' invention - she sees Tropey McTropeFace rolling through town but is unaware that Phineas and Ferb built it. ("Interview With a Platypus", "The Bully Code").
- Perry is shown to like bathtime.
Biblio-Blast![]
- The episode's title includes the prefix "biblio-", derived from Ancient Greek, which means "book."
- Second time a portrait of someone kicking an orange is used as a gag. ("Submarine Sandwich Submarine")
- Doofenshmirtz summons an army of plants to take over the Tri-State Area once again ("Atlantis").
- This is the ninth time Doofenshmirtz's lawn gnome backstory is featured. ("Lawn Gnome Beach Party of Terror", "Got Game?", "The Chronicles of Meap", "Rollercoaster: The Musical!", Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Across the 2nd Dimension, "This Is Your Backstory", "Imperfect Storm", "Father's Day")
- This episode shows the idea of the Bread Bowl Hot Tub that Buford wants everyone to make.
A Chip to the Vet[]
- The title is a play on the phrase "a trip to the vet".
- Isabella and Baljeet do not speak.
- Beginning with this episode, Jeremy is now voiced by a new person, as Mitchel Musso did not reprise his role. It is currently unknown on who his new voice actor is as their name wasn't listed in the ending credits.
More Than an Intern[]
- The pizzeria has pizza caricatures of Love Händel, Lindana, Dan Povenmire, and Jeff "Swampy" Marsh.
- Ferb isn’t wearing his usual outfit and he doesn’t have any scenes alongside Phineas and their friends.
- Baljeet tells the gang the ball will be at Kilimanjaro in eleven minutes, which is the typical length of a Phineas episode.
- A poster over Carl's desk has a reminder saying "November 31st is Agent Intern Day". This is most likely a joke, since November only has 30 days.
- The reveal of Ferb being a food critic may be a call back to him also leading a secret double life as initially revealed in Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Across the 2nd Dimension as a joke.
The Aurora Perry-Alis[]
- This is the second time Stacy interacts with Agent P ("Happy Birthday, Isabella").
- Fourth time Doof gets shrunk ("Journey to the Center of Candace", "Let's Take a Quiz", "Not Phineas and Ferb")
- Isabella, Buford, and Baljeet do not appear in this episode.
- Monty makes his first appearance since "Phineas and Ferb Save Summer" and interacts with Vanessa for the first time since "Druselsteinoween."
- Heinz now knows that Vanessa dated someone after Johnny.
- Running gag: People constantly giving the same busboy used and dirty napkins, much to his annoyance.
Lord of the Firesides[]
- This is the third episode to heavily focus on the Fireside Girls ("Isabella and the Temple of Sap", "Bee Story").
- This is the first Fireside Girls episode not to have a Poofenplotz and Pinky subplot, and this is also the first episode to focus on the Fireside Girls without being a spin-off episode of Phineas and Ferb's perspectives.
- This is the first Fireside Girls episode where the main plot takes place completely at the Fireside Girls Lodge.
- Cloris Leachman, the original voice of Eliza M. Feyersied, passed away in 2021. As a result, she does not physically appear in the episode and was mentioned as not feeling well.
- Her picture still appears on the wall, and no longer seems to be a window into her office ("Fireside Girl Jamboree").
- Phineas and Ferb only have a brief cameo.
- All of the Fireside Girls' voice actors return to reprise their roles, including Meira Blinkoff, who voiced Li'l Sparks Melissa in "We Call it Maze".
- This is the seventh time Isabella only wears her Fireside Girls outfit in the entire plot ("It's a Mud, Mud, Mud, Mud World", "Bubble Boys", "Fireside Girl Jamboree", "We Call it Maze", "Ferb TV", Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Candace Against the Universe).
- This is the third time the Fireside Girls are affected by one of Doofenshmirtz's inators ("Bee Story", "Night of the Living Pharmacists").
- This is the first episode in Season 5 in which Perry doesn't battle Doofenshmirtz, as they both are busy renewing their licenses.
- This episode reveals that Doofenshmirtz needs an evil license.
- This is the second time Isabella actually gets extremely enraged at somebody. This time, she gets mad when she sees that Gretchen impaled the Fireside Girl manual book to the wall and damaged it, which costs her the composure she has had for most of the episode. Even before that, she gets mad at Gretchen for her sarcastic comments about having a patch being basic, and then at Holly for her remark “who thinks triangles are cute?” which makes her furious. ("Phineas and Ferb: Summer Belongs to You!")
- This is the first time where somebody actually makes fun of Isabella's crush on Phineas, with Holly implying "Who even thinks triangles are cute?" and Isabella replying in an enraged tone "He's more than a triangle!" (which shows how strong her love for Phineas is)
- Fifth episode that Candace doesn’t appear in. (“Bully Bromance Breakup”, “Road to Danville”, “Bee Story”, “Doof 101”).
- Doofenshmirtz's Uncooperate-inator, if turned on, causes a red glow to appear on whatever it is aimed at.
- The red glow doesn't appear at first, but it does get more apparent as the episode goes on and the Fireside Girls are more at each others' throats.
- It is unknown whether or not the glow affects people's cooperation or people's cooperation affect the glow.
- The red glow doesn't appear at first, but it does get more apparent as the episode goes on and the Fireside Girls are more at each others' throats.
- As of the episode, Melissa is wearing red shoes and no longer her Mary Jane shoes.
Agent T (for Teen)[]
- Major Monogram breaks the fourth wall when he asks Carl if he ever seen this show.
- Stacy becomes an honorary member of the O.W.C.A. as of this episode.
- This is the fourth time Stacy interacts with Major Monogram ("Happy Birthday, Isabella", "Druselsteinoween", "The Aurora Perry-Alis").
- This is the third time Stacy interacts with Perry ("Happy Birthday, Isabella", "The Aurora Perry-Alis").
- This is the first time Stacy interacts with Carl.
- This is the second episode where Phineas appears, but doesn't have any lines ("Live and Let Drive").
- In one scene, Doofenshmirtz mentions that he and Charlene wanted different things. She wanted to "not be married to him," which is verbatim from a TikTok Dan Povenmire posted on April 19, 2022, a stitch to a user asking why Doof and Charlene divorced.
- This is the fourth episode to contain a fart joke, with Doofenshmirtz implying to have flatulence issues. ("Leave the Busting to Us!", "Return Policy", "O.W.C.A. Files")
- This is the second episode with an Agent title theme to focus on another character becoming a temporary O.W.C.A. agent to assist Agent P. ("Agent Doof") Third if "Agee Ientee Diogee" from Milo Murphy's Law is also counted in.
- Diogee and Stacy are both characters who witnessed Perry's four-legged pet identity and two-legged agent identity, and who both wander off from their fellow witnessing friends Milo or Candace to carry their own secret agent mission in which Diogee and Stacy thwart Dr. Doofenshmirtz for a change, while Perry the Platypus is either on vacation or kidnapped.
- Another comparison between Agent T and another Milo Murphy's Law episode can be made with "Spy Little Sister" when Melissa Chase and Stacy Hirano are both unintentionally swept into a secret spy mission where they need to thwart Dr. Doofenshmirtz.
- By coincidence, Ming-Na Wen voices a supporting character in both episodes, having played Dr. Hirano in Phineas and Ferb and Savannah in Milo Murphy's Law.
- When Doof puts his hand on the hand print scanner at L.O.V.E.M.U.F.F.I.N., he notes that they are "cranking up the evil a notch", which was one of his second dimension counterpart's lines in "Kick It Up A Notch" (Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Across the 2nd Dimension).
- This is the fifth episode where the Doof and Perry plot is the only plot of the episode, while Phineas and Ferb are relegated to the background ("Road to Danville", "This Is Your Backstory", "Sidetracked", "Live and Let Drive").
- Doofenshmirtz shows his hatred of paperwork for the third time ("The Beak", "Last Day of Summer").
The Haberdasher[]
- This is one of the few episodes where the Big Idea remains unseen ("Candace Disconnected", "Blackout!" "Sidetracked", and "Happy Birthday, Isabella").
- This is the third episode where the Big Idea in the backyard isn't done by Phineas and Ferb ("The Best Lazy Day Ever", "Not Phineas and Ferb").
- As previously briefly alluded to in "Cranius Maximus", a haberdasher is someone who makes hats.
- Fourth episode where someone is turned into an insect ("Picture This", "Fly On the Wall", "Bee Story").
- Second time Perry has a fez even though they're not in Egypt ("Phineas and Ferb and the Temple of Juatchadoon").
- Isabella makes something and wants to show Phineas (and Ferb), only for it to be gone when he goes to the backyard to see it, much like what happens to his own inventions.
- Buford actually makes a valid point. Since many inventions tend to disappear, he is baffled that nobody bothered to take a picture of it thus allowing both Isabella and Candace to show what was built in the backyard.
The Candace Suit[]
- Beginning with this episode, in the "Phineas and Ferb Theme", the phrase "There's another 104 days" is changed back to "There's 104 days".
- This is the second episode in Season 5 in which Perry doesn't battle Doofenshmirtz, as they both are busy stopping the potato salad monster.
- This is the fourteenth time that Phineas and Ferb goes to space ("Rollercoaster", "Unfair Science Fair Redux (Another Story)", "Out to Launch", "The Chronicles of Meap", "The Secret of Success", "The Doof Side of the Moon", "Rollercoaster: The Musical!", "Moon Farm", "Meapless in Seattle", "Mind Share", "Just Desserts", "Phineas and Ferb: Mission Marvel" "Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Candace Against the Universe").
- This is the eleventh time Isabella goes into space ("Rollercoaster", "The Secret of Success", "The Doof Side of the Moon", "Rollercoaster: The Musical!", "Moon Farm", "Mind Share", "Just Desserts", "Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Candace Against the Universe")
- This is the second time someone blows a bubble pipe instead of a tobacco pipe, which is no longer accepted in children's television ("Last Train to Bustville").
- This is the thir, "Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Candace Against the Universe"dr Age" and it's first appearance in the revival.
Out of Character[]
- Fourth time Doofenshmirtz's plan involves zapping statues ("Crack That Whip", "Does This Duckbill Make Me Look Fat?" and "Just Passing Through").
- Fourth appearance of Space Adventure. ("Not Phineas and Ferb", "Nerds of a Feather", Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Candace Against the Universe)
- Third time Ferb gets hit by an inator ("Phineas and Ferb Interrupted", "It's No Picnic").
- Second time the nickel meme is acknowledged in-universe. ("The Haberdasher")
- The Flawless Girl Cosmetics makes a reappearance on a billboard ("Attack of the 50 Foot Sister").
- Second time Phineas says "Oh there you are, Ferb", following "One Good Scare Ought to Do It!".
- This is the second time when Phineas and Ferb's big idea involves helping a character act for a film role ("Lights, Candace, Action!").
- This is the one of the few times in which Doofenshmirtz succeeds on his scheme. ("Hail Doofania!", "At the Car Wash", "Robot Rodeo", "Split Personality", "Candace Disconnected", "Magic Carpet Ride", Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Across the 2nd Dimension, "Cranius Maximus", "Road to Danville", "Phineas and Ferb Save Summer", "Night of the Living Pharmacists", "Last Day of Summer", "Cloudy With a Chance of Mom").
Meap Me in St. Louis[]
- A running gag throughout is calling Stabby Barf Pain "a theoretical fifth season", commenting on both a fifth season of the year, and also the fifth season of the series.
- This is the third episode to involve the seasons' fusion after "S'Winter" and "Minor Monogram".
- This is the third episode in Season 5 in which Perry doesn't battle Doofenshmirtz.
- There are several fourth wall breaks:
- Meap reveals his voice is similar to John Stamos' (his own voice actor).
- Doofenshmirtz mentions the bus song scene from the "trailer" and wonders if there's gonna be another The Chronicles of Meap trailer.
- There being a theoretical fifth season is a reference to the episode being part of the show's fifth season.
- The theme from Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Candace Against the Universe plays when Candace confronts Mitch.
- Unlike "Meapless in Seattle", the scenes that were originally used for the trailer now have a countdown for when they are used.
- This is the first appearance of Suzy since "Just Our Luck", and first speaking appearance since "Ferb TV".
- This is also her only appearance and speaking appearance in the show's revival. As well as her only appearance in Season 5.
- Baljeet, Buford, Jeremy, and Suzy interact with Meap for the first time.
- Isabella has only one spoken line in this episode outside of the songs.
- At the end, the Alliance is referred to as the "Outer Worlds Commando Alliance", which has the same acronym as the Organization Without a Cool Acronym.
- This is the second time that Phineas and Ferb have ever installed a self destruct button on one of their inventions. The first is "Hail Doofania!".
- In the Polish dub, this episode is called "Czterej odźwierni i Hik" (Four Porters and Meap), referencing the Polish show "Four Tank-Men and a Dog".
Usage of scenes in the fake trailer[]
- Zoom out to Earth aerial shot: Sixth scene used, with Buford screaming "NO" and it zooming out to the Earth shot in reaction to his bread bowl hot tub build being cancelled.
- Ships ramming into each other: First scene used, during opening chase between Meap and galactic alliance.
- Baljeet water skiing: Eighth scene used, during the "Stabby Barf Pain" musical number.
- Candace saying "Jerry the Platypus?": Fourth scene used, with Candace expressing confusion due to her thinking it was Perry who was invited.
- Jerry the Platypus waving: Third scene used, with Jeremy saying Suzy invited him to the party.
- Phineas saying "Ferb, aren't those extinct?": Fifth scene used, with Perry camouflaging his rocket car as a VHS tape blimp and Phineas seeing it and questioning it due to DVDs having led to the extinction of VHS tapes.
- Meap walking away from exploding spaceship: Seventh scene used, after Meap accidentally hit the self-destruct button on the ship, confusing it for the lock button.
- Jeremy walking through stained glass doors saying "As a matter of fact, I object to this union.": Second scene used, with Jeremy objecting to Candace's Bango-Ru doll due to it being cuter than his shark koala, walking through a stained glass fence due to his mother going through a stained glass phase.
- Doofenshmirtz singing on the bus: Ninth scene used, with Doofenshmirtz boarding a bus and trying to sing maniacally. Later, Perry pulls out his rocket car and Doofenshmirtz asked him why they even got on the bus if he had his rocket car the whole time and he breaks the fourth wall by saying "Oh that's right, the trailer thing" after the pop up of the scene being used is shown again.
- Meap and Suzy fighting: Eleventh scene used, used in the only scene for a fake trailer for another sequel at the end. Had a fake set up during the episode as the sixth scene when Candace was needed by both Meap and Suzy (with Suzy setting up the fight for her) before Candace stopped the fight from happening and giving Suzy what she needed (photographic evidence to bust a party guest for dipping their finger into a cake) before leaving with Meap to stop Mitch.
- Meap saying "Meap" on top of the St. Louis Gateway Arch: Tenth scene used, with Meap jumping onto the arch after Mitch is defeated.
- Doofenshmirtz saying "Wasn’t that Suzy stuff supposed to be in this one?": Twelfth scene used, again referencing the scene being used in the trailer for this episode and ultimately going unused during the actual episode.
Differences from the fake trailer[]
- The scenes are redone to use the new animation style from Snipple Animation introduced with Candace Against the Universe.
- Jeremy and Meap's lines are dubbed over with their new voice actors. As their original voice actors did not return to voice them.
- Baljeet, Candace, Phineas and Doofenshmirtz's lines are re-recorded in both the fake trailer and the actual episode.
- Phineas' scene now gave him his extra stripe on his shirt.
- Phineas' line "Ferb, aren't those extinct?" has been re-recorded.
- Doofenshmirtz says "Wasn't that Suzy stuff supposed to be in this one?" rather than "Hey, wasn't that Suzy stuff supposed to be in this one?" Later on he says "Wait, wasn't that Suzy stuff supposed to be in this one?" instead.
- While Meap is on the Gateway Arch, he is facing straight ahead in the fake trailer, but in the actual episode, he stands to the left.
- In the scene on the bus where Doofenshmirtz is singing, the shirt of the background character on the right is light purple instead of pale yellow like in the fake trailer.
No Slumber Party[]
- A running gag in this episode is the Acquaintances theme song plays whenever someone mentions the show.
- This is the second time Stacy, Candace, and Vanessa share screen time together ("Druselsteinoween").
- This is also the 10th time Candace and Vanessa interact ("S'Winter", "Hail Doofania!", "Finding Mary McGuffin", "Phineas and Ferb: Summer Belongs to You!", "The Doonkelberry Imperative", "It's No Picnic", "Night of the Living Pharmacists", "Last Day of Summer", "Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Candace Against the Universe").
- This is the first time Vanessa and Buford interact.
- For a split second, Ferb is briefly seen rising from his seat when Vanessa greets the gang, indicating that he still has a crush on her.
- Fourth episode Isabella is shown wearing pajamas ("I Scream, You Scream", "Isabella and the Temple of Sap", "Last Day of Summer").
- This is the 12th time where most of, if not the entire episode takes place at night ("Traffic Cam Caper", "Chez Platypus", "Candace Gets Busted", "That's the Spirit", "When Worlds Collide", "Blackout!", "Happy New Year!", "Druselsteinoween", "Night of the Living Pharmacists", "Deconstructing Doof", "More Than an Intern").
- Doofenshmirtz breaks the fourth wall when he chastises the jingle singers for changing his evil jingle.
- Fifth time that the "Oh, there you are, Perry" catchphrase immediately follows "Where's Perry?". ("Day of the Living Gelatin", "Elementary My Dear Stacy", "Phineas and Ferb Interrupted", "Phineas and Ferb: Mission Marvel")
- Contrary to the usual pattern, Isabella asks for Perry's whereabouts and immediately finds him sleeping before he goes on a mission.
- Candace can't hold her obsession with the boys again, much like "Hip Hip Parade", "Robot Rodeo", "The Great Indoors", "A Real Boy", "Meatloaf Surprise" and "Happy New Year!".
The Ballad of Bubba Doof[]
- This is the third episode where Heinz Doofenshmirtz is absent after "Isabella and the Temple of Sap" and "Ferb TV" (not counting the credits of the latter), though he is briefly seen in a photo with Bubba. It is mentioned by Monogram that Heinz is at an almond brittle convention, due to his love for almond brittle. It is also the fourth episode in Season 5 in which Perry doesn't battle Heinz for the same reason.
- This is the second time "forced perspective" is mentioned ("Last Train to Bustville").
- The Morse code that Candace sends to Linda translates to "BOYS BUILDING OLD TIMEY TOWN NO BUILDING CODES GET HOME".
- This is the second episode to have "ballad" in the title ("The Ballad of Badbeard").
- This is the second episode in which Phineas and Ferb build a western or pioneer themed town in their backyard ("She's the Mayor").
- Bubba Doofenshmirtz's plot of destroying beaver dams to connect the swamps is similar to Heinz Doofenshmirtz's dam scheme ("Are You My Mummy?"). Unlike his cousin, Bubba Doof succeeds.
- Compared to Doofenshmirtz, Bubba Doof's plan is simpler since he just wants to live in the swamp and flooded it just for himself, his traps are more elaborate yet mundane as it is a simple hunter's trap, and finally, Bubba Doof shows no qualms in eating Perry alive.
Attack of the Candace Suit[]
- This episode is heavily focused on Candace, Jeremy, Phineas and Ferb and the gang, while Perry, Major Monogram, Carl, and Heinz Doofenshmirtz only make cameos.
- To this extent, this is the fifth episode to only focus on the main Phineas, Candace and Ferb plot with the Doof and Perry subplot reduced to cameos after "Phineas and Ferb Get Busted!" and "Ferb TV", or Doof and Perry suddenly becoming additional parts of the main plot in "Phineas and Ferb's Quantum Boogaloo" and "Wizard of Odd".
- Second episode whose title starts with the phrase "Attack of the [...]" after "Attack of the 50 Foot Sister".
- This is the third 11-minute segment to take place over the course of multiple full days. ("Unfair Science Fair" and "Happy New Year!")
- The title is seen twice, once as a normal episode title, and then again as a horror movie title when the Candace Suit attacks Jeremy.
- This is the fifth episode of Season 5 in which Perry doesn't battle Doofenshmirtz.
- This is the first appearance of Klimpaloon in Season 5, although he previously appeared as a tattoo in "Deconstructing Doof".
- Third time the gang travels to the Himalayas to see Klimpaloon after "Phineas and Ferb: Summer Belongs to You!" and "The Klimpaloon Ultimatum".
- As of yet, this is Jeremy's largest speaking role since his recasting.
Book Flub[]
- This is the first time Adyson Sweetwater appears without Isabella, and also the first episode where a Fireside Girl member other than Isabella makes an appearance without the rest of the group.
- This is the fifth time where only one Fireside Girl (excluding Isabella) makes an appearance (previous instances were Holly in "Comet Kermillian", the blond-haired Fireside Girl in "The Beak", Gretchen in "Where's Pinky?", and Ginger in "One Good Turn").
- This is the first time Irving interacts with Adyson.
- This is the first time in Season 5 where Major Monogram doesn't appear, and Perry and Doofenshmirtz make several cameo appearances throughout the episode.
- Additionally, this is the third episode to have little to no subplot to speak of ("Phineas and Ferb Get Busted!", "Attack of the Candace Suit").
- This is the first with little to no subplot to focus on the Candace plot.
- Candace says to Linda "Welcome to my world" like she says to Lulu Jones ("Leave the Busting to Us!"), Phineas ("No More Bunny Business") and Mike van Hatofapilgrim ("Der Kinderlumper").
- Both Doofenshmirtz and Phineas each have one line in this episode, and they are both only one of their catchphrases, "Curse you, Perry the Platypus" and "Oh, there you are, Perry", respectively.
- Running gag: In a callback to a joke from "Biblio-Blast!", different characters have flashbacks to another character saying something to them while they are on a teeter-totter.
- ”Mom’s Stuck on a Zipline” is the very first duet song between Candace and Irving in the series.
- This is the first time Candace and Irving shared the spotlight in an episode together since "What A Croc!".
- This is the first episode of Season 5 and the 14th overall where Candace doesn't see the big idea ("Hail Doofania!", "Atlantis", "Brain Drain", "Bullseye!", "Escape from Phineas Tower", "Buford Confidential", "Tri-State Treasure: Boot of Secrets", "Backyard Hodge Podge", "Where's Pinky?", "Thanks But No Thanks", "Live and Let Drive", "Father's Day", "Imperfect Storm").
- This is the fifth time Canadace spends the entire episode with her mom ("Hail Doofania!", "Bubble Boys", "Hip Hip Parade", "Lotsa Latkes").
- In the Sweetwater backyard, on the fence, there is an archery target surrounded by several missed arrows. An indication that Adyson is not a skilled archer.
The Bad Old Days[]
- The concept of Candace encountering Mole Men while following the boys as they drill underground is very reminiscent of the online game “Escape from Mole-tropolis”.
- Third time Doofenshmirtz visits Drusselstein ("The Doonkelberry Imperative", "Father's Day") and the first time Vanessa visits her father's homeland.
- Third time the boys search for lost jewelry, after searching for Mom's earrings in "Does This Duckbill Make Me Look Fat?" and finding Mrs. Garcia-Shapiro's wedding ring with X-Ray Glasses in "No More Bunny Business".
- First time Candace has entered Perry’s lair. As of this episode, all of the Flynn-Fletcher siblings have entered Perry’s lair at least once.
- This also makes Candace the fourth family member in the Flynn-Fletcher family to have visited Perry's lair, after Phineas and Ferb in "Ready for the Bettys" and Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Across the 2nd Dimension, and Lawrence in "I Was a Middle Aged Robot".
- This also makes Linda the only family member who has yet to enter Perry's lair.
- Fifth time that Perry rejoins the gang, but no one acknowledges it ("The Fast and the Phineas", "One Good Scare Ought to Do It!", "The Klimpaloon Ultimatum", "Cloudy With a Chance of Mom").

- Along with its paired episode, "Mantis Fact!", this is the first episode to reference a movie featured on Mystery Science Theater 3000.
- Cloris Leachman, who voiced Mrs. Doofenshmirtz, Heinz' mom, passed away in 2021. As a result, she does not physically appear in the episode and was mentioned along with Heinz' father by a note as taking a vacation.
- Vanessa shows genuine concern when her father saw how much things have change in Drusselstein. Considering how Doofenshmirtz grew up in an abusive and tragic childhood, it makes sense that Doofenshmirtz feels uncomfortable since everything is much safer and less crueler for Vanessa. In addition to the above, Doofenshmirtz shows how he is affected by his trauma which justifies his reason to go back to the old ways as a form of backtracking and unresolved issues.
- Candace nearly became a queen in this episode as she remembered the time she became the Queen of Mars. Though she didn't recall the time when she became the queen within the giant ant farm after she sprayed herself with the special spray too many times.
Mantis Fact![]
- Second time a Mom impostor sees the Big Idea, and the second episode to end on "The End?" ("Invasion of the Ferb Snatchers")

- These are the facts about mantises presented in this episode:
- Mantises prey on garden pests.
- Mantises have long necks, triangular heads, and bulging eyes.
- Mantises are the only insects that can see in 3D.
- They are the only insects than can turn their heads around 180 degrees like an owl.
