Ferb reads his checklist out loud in the Latin American dub (a common technique used in dubs to translate on-screen text), effectively giving him three lines in the episode.
Candace does not bother to bust her brothers in this episode.
This is the first time in production order and second time in release order where Stacy is seen with a horse costume ("Canderemy").
This is one of the few episodes where Phineas and Ferb's big idea doesn't disappear because of Doofenshmirtz ("Phineas and Ferb: Summer Belongs to You!", "The Secret of Success", "Canderemy").
This is the second time a member of the Slacks is seen without the rest.
This is the first time Doofenshmirtz and Perry's actions don't interfere with the actions of Phineas and the gang.
This episode reveals that Grandpa Clyde once won a famous balloon race.
This episode reveals that Linda needs contacts.
The girl in the swimsuit on the high-dive in the song "Give Up" is also one of the girls on Vanessa's swim team in "Not So Bad A Dad" flashback scene from "Finding Mary McGuffin", except with a different color swimsuit.
When Phineas and Ferb see the dodo bird, Phineas says "Check it out, A dodo bird! What's next on the list Ferb?", and Ferb says "Frankenstein's brain", which corresponds with the theme song.
The fourth wall is broken numerous times in this episode, with the characters aware of the fact that they are in a clip show and that they wouldn't actually be able to see the clips themselves. Doofenshmirtz also breaks the fourth wall when he says to Perry "Look what you made me do ... 40 seconds ago", in reference to the fact that another scene had interrupted his own.
This episode demonstrates one of the only times Doofenshmirtz doesn't make Candace's evidence disappear, but rather it's dismantled at free will.
In the Brazilian Portuguese dub, the line "You're the best" is said by Phineas instead of Tabitha.
"If I had a nickel for..." appears to be a running gag for this episode.
This is Irving's first appearance in Season 3.
This is the first time "Oh, there you are, Perry" is said in Season 3.
When Phineas is at the Mr. Slushy Dawg, the elevator version of "Gitchee Gitchee Goo" can be heard in the background.
Excluding the songs in the clips, this is the first episode in Season 3 to not have a song.
This is the second time Doofenshmirtz thinks the suffix inator changes the future of his invention ("Rollercoaster: The Musical!").
The music that plays when Perry and Doofenshmirtz are making Vanessa's birthday party is played when Phineas arrives at his birthday party ("Dude, We're Getting the Band Back Together").
On July 19, 2014, this episode was shown paired with "Live and Let Drive" for Disney XD's "Show Me the Shark" programming gimmick.
Candace doesn't interact with her brothers in this episode.
This episode and its sister episode are two of few episodes in which Perry does not go back to his owners, nor does Phineas say "Oh, there you are, Perry".
Irving seems to have a crush on Candace and Stacy.
Linda is absent in this episode, but is mentioned.
This is the first time Isabella is seen without any speaking or singing lines, despite appearing in most of Phineas and Ferb's plot.
Baljeet and Phineas break the fourth wall. This starts when Baljeet argues with the male singer from "Moon Farm". Phineas continues by saying that they have limited time and that Baljeet shouldn't argue with the soundtrack.
Phineas says that Ferb found the lost verse of "The Cat and the Fiddle" in the Dead Sea, which is between Israel and Jordan. Phineas also mentions that the paper Ferb found is a little wet and salty, and points out that the salt concentration in there is higher than the usual.
This is the second time Phineas and Ferb go to the moon, but it is the first time that they are actually seen there, as their previous visit was off-screen ("Traffic Cam Caper").
This is the second time cows are heavily involved in an episode ("The Magnificent Few").
This is the second time Doofenshmirtz mentions trying to have a "green thumb", and also the second time Doofenshmirtz's plan involves plants ("Atlantis").
This is the third time Baljeet and Buford go into space ("The Secret of Success", "Rollercoaster: The Musical!").
This is the fifth time Isabella goes into space ("Rollercoaster", "The Secret of Success", "The Doof Side of the Moon", "Rollercoaster: The Musical!").
This is the second time Phineas and Ferb build a rocket ("Out to Launch").
During the song, Phineas, Ferb, Isabella, Buford, and Baljeet perform the same dance from "Technology vs. Nature".
Phineas' head is seen with hearts around it again, only this time it is his real head instead of fabric cut-outs ("Run Away Runway").
The Electronic Machine sound is heard again ("Picture This").
The medical imaging technician gets scanned by the supercomputer and says, "This is so not worth minimum wage!". This echoes Candace's "This is not worth $3.50 an hour" in "Toy to the World" and the girl selling hair care products in "Isabella and the Temple of Sap".
This is the second time Perry is referred to as a monotreme, although it is only in the title ("Swiss Family Phineas").
This is the third time another platypus besides Perry is shown, though this time he is distinguishable from Perry ("Oh, There You Are, Perry", "Cheer Up Candace") .
Major Monogram realizing the faux-Agent P is not in uniform is similar to the Evil-Con receptionist realizing that the faux-Dr. Wexler is not wearing an Evil-Con badge ("A Hard Day's Knight").
While Phineas is talking to Perry, the reporter can be heard telling the zookeeper that she had made the word "platypus" up, and then she says, "No, it's a real word". This is similar to a conversation Candace and Stacy have ("Gaming the System").
This is the second time someone doesn't understand a text message because it's not written with all the letters ("Unfair Science Fair Redux (Another Story)").
This episode marks Vanessa's first appearance and Agent T's first appearance in Season 3.
Vanessa parodies Doofenshmirtz's "Curse you, Perry the Platypus" line on Doofenshmirtz's inator.
When Doofenshmirtz and Perry are watching the exercise program, at the start they do a movement very similar to the Caramelldansen, which is also done in "Phineas and Ferb: Summer Belongs to You!".
This episode includes the first time Perry is seen smiling since Season 2, implying that he actually enjoys doing Doofenshmirtz's exercise program.
It is never shown what is the other thing Phineas and Ferb built besides the new cell phone for Candace. According to the boys, it is very tall, heavy, interesting, and it could fit inside the truck that belongs to a man from the museum.
The carpet is one of the few of the boys' creations that did not disappear at the end of the episode, as it settled back into place in the living room and is possibly still functional.
This is the second time Phineas feels how soft the carpet is ("It's a Mud, Mud, Mud, Mud World").
The white ATV from the advert in "Finding Mary McGuffin" and "The Secret of Success" appears again.
Doofenshmirtz says "Is this hair?" when he gets covered in hair, which is what Candace says when she falls in the dumpster full of hair in "Phineas and Ferb Get Busted!".
This is the second time Doofenshmirtz gets covered in a material so that he resembles a primate of some sort ("Get That Bigfoot Outa My Face!").
This is the first time Dr. Doofenshmirtz never got a chance to fire his inator.
Phineas and Ferb have never been closer to Doofenshmirtz before. When he falls off the roof and is caught by Candace, she and her brothers have a direct look at him. Also, it's the fourth time Candace has had physical contact with Doofenshmirtz ("The Ballad of Badbeard", "Does This Duckbill Make Me Look Fat?", "Fireside Girl Jamboree").
The Danville Tangerine Orangutan Preserve's waterfall is exactly the same waterfall Candace falls in while visiting Hawaii during "Phineas and Ferb Hawaiian Vacation".
When Doofenshmirtz is singing "Shot in the Butt with a Dart", he mentions that he'd lose consciousness in 17 seconds, which is accurate in real time.
This episode shows that Linda, Candace, and Phineas all like meatloaf.
The girl seen in the announcement in "Phineas and Ferb's Quantum Boogaloo" can be seen among the other kids whose bounce house is destroyed.
Major Monogram considers both evil and non-evil explanations for Doofenshmirtz's meatloaf ingredient purchases much as he considers evil and non-evil explanations for Doofenshmirtz's sudden interest in recycling ("De Plane! De Plane!"). In the same way as with the ingredients purchases, Monogram offers likely and outlandish alternatives for Doofenshmirtz's disappearance ("One Good Scare Ought to Do It!").'
The lady seen in Phineas and Ferb
The lady seen in Milo Murphy's Law
The lady who has the opera glasses at the Little Cowboy auction in this episode reappears in "Happy New Year!" and the Milo Murphy's Law episode "Dog Walker, Runner, Screamer". In Milo Murphy's Law, she is seen at a ribbon cutting ceremony.
This is the third time to show a character going to, or in a hospital. It is also the second time this happens to Dr. Doofenshmirtz ("I Scream, You Scream", "Nerdy Dancin'").
This is the second episode with a healthy food theme following "Candace's Big Day".
This is the second episode where Candace attempts to bust Phineas and Ferb by urging them to create something despite the boys not wanting to ("The Best Lazy Day Ever").
When Doofenshmirtz first reveals his Dull-and-Boring-inator in the video, he appears to have just finished a Broadway-style song. Most of Doofenshmirtz's songs tend towards extravagant showstoppers, as first seen in "My Goody Two-Shoes Brother".
This is the second time Phineas and Ferb have lost their creativity, though the first time was in a dream. This is also the second time Phineas shows he's back to normal by saying "I know what we're gonna do today!" ("Phineas and Ferb Get Busted!").
Phineas and Ferb's invention doesn't disappear in this episode.
This is the third time the Doofenshmirtz and Perry subplot is the main plot ("Hail Doofania!", "Brain Drain").
The music Norm listens to on the player sounds as if it could be the heavy-metal instrumental piece heard after the song "I'm Me" from "Vanessassary Roughness"; Vanessa also listens to it in her computer in "Finding Mary McGuffin".
At the end of Norm's rap, he is in supposely in a huge blimp hangar. Phineas and Ferb use the same hangar in "Run, Candace, Run" to see if they can outrun light in their high-speed shoes.
After Doofenshmirtz tells Norm that he isn't his father, Norm says "Bu-bu-bu-bu-but..." like Candace does during the song "There is No Candy in Me" ("Picture This").
In the credits of this episode's sister episode, there's a text that reads "Featuring the Russian Vocal Stylings of Swampysky Marshkarov", which is a reference to Swampy Marsh's name and the fact that he voices a Russian character in this episode.
When Lawrence and Doofenshmirtz are speaking in trucker lingo, he uses a lot of common trucker phrases:
"Breaker, breaker, 1-9" is a standard greeting on a CB radio, indicating that someone wants to interrupt and join the conversation on Channel 19, the most commonly used CB channel for highway chatter.
"You're shaking the windows" means that Doofenshmirtz has a loud, strong signal.
"Oh, we're running a double nickel on a dime. 55 on the 10." "Nickel" means 5, and "double nickel" means they're traveling at 55 mph. Highways are often referred to by their numbers, so "on a dime" means that they're on Route 10.
"I'm eastbound with a smoky on my 20, on a cab over Louie" would mean that Doofenshmirtz is traveling east with a cop near him, using a cab-over-engine truck. "Louie" is where the lingo breaks down, unless it's referring to a type of truck or brand.
"No worries, Miss. Just keep your metal up and your rubber down." The metal refers to the vehicle's frame as a metaphor for your resolve, while rubber down refers to the tires on the road. So Lawrence is basically telling Doofenshmirtz, "Stay strong and drive safe!"
"10-4, good buddy. I'm gone!" 10-4 means "message received."
This is the second time Perry is sitting in a vehicle that Doofenshmirtz is driving ("Unfair Science Fair").
It is revealed that the ingredient for Dr. Doofenshmirtz's invention's self-destruct feature is "Boom-Juice".
This is the regular-length episode with the most fourth wall breaks in the series, with a total of eight.
The fourth wall is broken eight times by seven people:
By Perry, who looks at the screen when Doofenshmirtz turns off the sound to the "early warning explosion button".
By Lawrence, who looks directly at the screen when he says "woohoo!".
By Ferb, who looks at the screen during "Little Bit of Home on the Road", after he sees the cat in the pot.
By Phineas and Ferb, who, in a quick moment, look at the screen after showing out the real and fake butter and but-r.
By Ferb again, who looks at the screen a second time during "Little Bit of Home on the Road" after he pulls the salt shaker out of the "fancy spice" can.
By the guy who asks for pie, who looks at the screen when he says "I still never got my pie".
By Candace and Linda simultaneously, who look at the screen after Lawrence abandons the wheel.
By Doofenshmirtz, who is talking to the audience at the end, and looks directly at the screen when he says "flaming cactus".
This episode indicates that Candace has "Sleep Busted" before.
This is the second time jukeboxes are involved in some way ("Make Play").
There is a slight possibility that this could be the same jukebox from that episode. In "Make Play," Lawrence remarks how that jukebox leads straight to hits from the 60s. In "Home on the Road," the lyrics state that, "Our juke plays latest hits from 1966."
The crows return, as does the corn ("Wizard of Odd").
This is the second time Doofenshmirtz's pants are burned ("Moon Farm").
The farmer and his wife appear again.
This is the first Phineas and Ferb episode to end without the Disney Channel Original logo.
In the credits (from this episode's sister episode), there's a text that reads "Featuring the Russian Vocal Stylings of Swampysky Marshkarov", which is a reference to Swampy Marsh's name and the fact that he voices a Russian character in this episode.
It is possible that the Amnesia-inator left some parts of the memories in their brain, because Phineas, Baljeet, Buford, Isabella, and possibly Ferb were able to remember the song Summer (Where Do We Begin?) in "Fly On the Wall". Additionally, Phineas was able to remember that "they met their doppelgangers in the 2nd dimension" and that "Isabella kissed him, but he got his mind erased".
The scene from "Last Day of Summer" may also be a fourth wall break, as Phineas' next line is "You just wait ten years" referencing his and Isabella's kiss in "Act Your Age" which has chronologically yet to happen.
Oddly enough, when Perry reveals his secret identity, Ferb does not show any signs of anger or any type of reaction. When Perry opens the window to escape the hideout, you can briefly hear Ferb saying "Ahhh" as they are falling. This is the only reaction Ferb gives to the situation, and other than that, he seems to be quite calm throughout the scenario, even after discovering Perry's secret.
When Perry punches Platyborg across the room, revealing his secret identity, Ferb's irises are shrunken and he's pulling back in shock.
This is one of those few times Doofenshmirtz actually succeeded in his scheme (traveling to alternate dimensions with his -inator, with the help from Phineas and Ferb).
This is the sixth time Perry failed to defeat Doofenshmirtz (as he was unable to do so without exposing his identity to Phineas and Ferb). First time was "One Good Scare Ought to Do It!", the second was in "Hail Doofania!", the third was in "That Sinking Feeling", the fourth was in "Hail Doofania!".
Despite Monogram mentioning that Carl was a rookie in "I Scream, You Scream", the flashback shows that he has been working in the O.W.C.A. for 5 years.
This is the second time Phineas and Ferb are shown tied up and chained, the first was during "Phineas and Ferb Get Busted!"
During Brand New Best Friend, both Doofenshmirtzes break the Fourth wall by mentioning that Meap was played by Lorenzo Lamas.
They also look at the screen while saying this.
Phineas breaks the Fourth wall by having his eyes staring directly at the screen during Summer (Where Do We Begin?).
Phineas also breaks the Fourth wall by "cutting corners" when the movie arrives where it started ("Blah blah blah, two-car garage, etc."). Ferb also exclaims "Whoa, deja-vu-ish." in that same scene.
On the DVD version, during the song Mysterious Force, in several shots, Candace is seen staring directly at the audience.
During the song Summer (Where Do We Begin?), Phineas begins to sing some of the lyrics from the Phineas and Ferb Theme.
Isabella and Phineas kiss for the first time.
This is one of the few times in which Phineas is angry.
This is the first time that Ferb cries, though it is only briefly shown.
Even though this is the longest running Phineas and Ferb event with a runtime of an hour and 17 minutes, Ferb has fewer lines than he did in others, such as "Phineas and Ferb: Summer Belongs to You!".
This is the first time that the outside of the O.W.C.A Headquarters is shown.
Carl is seen without his glasses for the first time.
It is revealed that Carl used to wear braces, and Monogram had black hair.
It is revealed that Ferb leads a double-life as well. Although it could have been a joke or a reference to Phineas and Ferb's double-life with making inventions without their mom knowing, or a reference to the events of either "The Beak" or "Ready For the Bettys".
Phineas bats left handed. In "Toy to the World" he writes left handed, and in "Phineas' Birthday Clip-O-Rama!" he says that he wants a left-handed flange tuner. The movie's video game also states he is left handed. From these examples it is clear that Phineas is left handed, but in "Don't Even Blink" he was shown to be ambidextrous as he played the guitar with both hands.
It's revealed that Jeremy is 16, one year older than Candace as she is 15.
Phineas notices how Doofenshmirtz Evil Incorporated building looks similar to Ferb's head.
The purpose of a self-destruct button is questioned again ("Hail Doofania!").
A Goozim makes another appearance. Goozims previously appeared in "Got Game?" and "Rollercoaster: The Musical!".
During the song Everything's Better with Perry, Perry is referred to as a monotreme for a third time ("Swiss Family Phineas", "Misperceived Monotreme") and the second time onscreen. ("Swiss Family Phineas")
The "Homer's Odyssey" book is seen again. It was previously seen in "Magic Carpet Ride".
Like in "Interview With a Platypus", Phineas and Ferb imitate Perry's chatter again.
This is the fifth time a much younger Phineas is seen, while it is the third for Ferb. Previous instances are in "Phineas and Ferb Get Busted!", "Oh, There You Are, Perry", "Phineas and Ferb: Summer Belongs to You!" and "Ain't No Kiddie Ride".
Monogram says, "Behind you, rising dramatically from the floor" again. He first said it in "Tip of the Day".
The man that is driving the tow was seen in "Phineas' Birthday Clip-O-Rama!" while the tow was seen in "Hip Hip Parade".
Despite having a previous encounter in Candace's dream from "Wizard of Odd", and seeing him through a reprogrammed video game in "Brain Drain", this is the first time Phineas and Ferb actually meet Dr. Doofenshmirtz.
Doofenshmirtz and 2nd Dimension Doofenshmirtz sing together, the second time someone does a duet with himself/herself, the first being Candace during Me, Myself and I in "Split Personality".
However, this is the first time this happens with two or more characters in a single episode (Phineas and Ferb in Summer (Where Do We Begin?). This is also the first time this happens more than once in a single episode/song.
This is the fourth time Phineas and Ferb see Perry as a secret agent but the first time they don't mistake him for something else and know it's really Perry. They previously mistaken him for a toy in "Toy to the World". They once saw him in "Phineas and Ferb Get Busted!", but since the episode mostly took place in Candace’s dream (which was inside Perry’s), it didn't actually happen. They also mistaken him for a video-game character in "Brain Drain".
Succeeding "Phineas and Ferb: Summer Belongs to You!", this is the second time Phineas gets genuinely angry about something.
The skull that Perry gets his feet stuck in after they jump out the window has the same horns as Mr. Doofenshmirtz's headgear.
Ferb carries a handkerchief with him, as does his other dimension counterpart, seen when other dimension Phineas is hugging Perry. Ferb previously brought a handkerchief in "Phineas and Ferb: Summer Belongs to You!".
2nd Dimension Isabella's uniform looks similar to the uniforms that 1st Dimension Isabella's troop wore when they parodied Howl in "Phineas' Birthday Clip-O-Rama!".
Following "Phineas and Ferb's Quantum Boogaloo", "Split Personality", "Rollercoaster: The Musical!", and "Make Play", this is the fifth time that two or more Candace's or someone identical to her are seen.
Doofenshmirtz-2 says "I've got you and your little friends, too," parodying The Wizard of Oz, the same way Doofenwitch said "I'll get you, and your little platypus too" in "Wizard of Odd".
Doofenshmirtz-2 has problems for seeing the hour of his watch much like his 1st Dimension counterpart in "Elementary My Dear Stacy".
Candace mentions that something weird is not the weirdest thing. ("Wizard of Odd")
The "If I had a nickel" line is used again. The line was previously used in "Wizard of Odd" and "Phineas' Birthday Clip-O-Rama!".
Doofenshmirtz and Doofenshmirtz-2 say "oh, poop". 1st Dimension Doofenshmirtz said this in "Moon Farm".
During the part where Ferb hot-wires the Norm bot, the Norm bot says that "I lost my bike", which may reference to the running gag in "Phineas and Ferb: Summer Belongs to You!", also could be an allusion to Norm's phrase (Honey, have you seen my keys?) in "Greece Lightning".
This is the second time Phineas and Ferb are seen in Perry's lair following "Ready for the Bettys".
Phineas's line "Let's kick some robot chassis!" is similar to his line "Let's kick some robot hiney!" in "Traffic Cam Caper".
Candace sees Perry as an agent again. She previously saw him in "The Ballad of Badbeard", "Phineas and Ferb Get Busted!", "Leave the Busting to Us!", "Bowl-R-Ama Drama", and "Wizard of Odd", and even remarks how her finding out Perry is a secret agent is the most normal thing to happen over the course of the movie. However, this is the first time she gets her memory of seeing Perry as an agent erased. One of the other times was in Perry's dream, and Candace still remembers the other 5 episodes, including her own dream.
Phineas, Ferb, Baljeet, Buford and Jeremy all see Perry as a secret agent in "Wizard of Odd" inside Candace's dream.
Rover, the mechanical bulls, the ride from outer space, Love Händel, and the Beak suit appear.
Buford's gladiator hat from "Greece Lightning" is seen again.
Following "The Magnificent Few", "Out of Toon", "Hail Doofania!", "Isabella and the Temple of Sap", and "Ain't No Kiddie Ride", this is the sixth time Isabella is seen interested in horses/unicorns.
Baljeet and Irving work together for the first time despite the fact that Baljeet doesn't like Irving in "Hide and Seek" and "Atlantis".
Doofenshmirtz-1 finds the model train in a box marked, "VHS Tapes." In "Tip of the Day" he gets rid of what he thinks is an unimportant box, but finds to his dismay that there was an embarrassing video inside.
As Phineas battles Doofenshmirtz-2 while Ferb climbs up Doofenshmirtz Evil Inc., the music that plays is similar to when Agent P fought Doofenshmirtz-1 in "Backyard Aquarium", with the song being played at a lower pitch.
In both instances, both versions of Doofenshmirtz were attacked with food - Agent P attacked Doofenshmirtz-1 with a hot dog, while Phineas attacked Doofenshmirtz-2 with spaghetti.
This is the second time Ferb says Perry's name. The first was when he said the "Where's Perry" line in "Fireside Girl Jamboree".
This is the second time that Phineas, Ferb and Isabella meet Major Monogram and Carl. First was in "Undercover Carl".
This is the third time that Baljeet meets Carl. First was "Swiss Family Phineas" and second was "Undercover Carl".
This is the second time that Buford meets Carl. First was "Swiss Family Phineas".
This is the third time Baljeet meets Monogram since "Undercover Carl" and "Wizard of Odd", the second time that Buford meets Monogram since "Wizard of Odd", the third time Jeremy sees Monogram since "The Lizard Whisperer" and "Wizard of Odd", and the second time Candace sees Monogram following "The Ballad of Badbeard".
Carl states that Doofenshmirtz made an Amnesia-inator. Doofenshmirtz previously created -inators related to memory in "Tip of the Day" and "A Real Boy".
This is the second time someone "Sweats out of their eyes" when they were really crying. The first was Buford in "Voyage to the Bottom of Buford".
Much like in "Phineas and Ferb: Summer Belongs to You!", numerous images appear at the end of a song.
Second time Phineas and Ferb are seen with military-style hairdos. ("Phineas and Ferb Get Busted!")
Doofenshmirtz says, "Let's light this pop stand." This malapropism combines Phineas's take on astronaut Alan Shepard's "Let's light this candle" ("Out to Launch") and Candace's "Let's blow this pop stand" ("Wizard of Odd").
Second time there is a fight between platypi ("Cheer Up Candace").
The music playing when Carl begins presenting the gadgets to Perry is the same as the music when Phineas and Ferb were teaching Lawrence how to play 80's synthesizer ("Ladies and Gentlemen, Meet Max Modem!").
Second time Doofenshmirtz (or his counterpart) calls his guards ("Wizard of Odd").
In "Brand New Best Friend", Doofenshmirtz sings "Comin' at you Fridays!" Phineas and Ferb's regular timeslot is Friday nights on Disney Channel.
This is the second time Phineas imitates the crowd cheering, the first was "The Chronicles of Meap", though this time, he's actually shown doing it.
Only five of the songs in the movie (counting Mysterious Force) are sung by characters onscreen, the rest were just background songs. This marks the second least amount of songs sung by someone onscreen in a special, the least was "Phineas and Ferb: Mission Marvel" with only one song.
The movie takes place sometime during the events of the third season.
Despite being one of the characters who has their memory wiped with the Amnesia-inator at the end of the film, Stacy uncovers Agent P again in "Happy Birthday, Isabella".
On Netflix, after Phineas says "So far, it's not going as well as we hoped", the screen fades to black as the end-of-episode guitar sound plays.
It is unknown why Doofenshmirtz had to get his mind erased along with Phineas, Ferb, and the gang at the end of the movie as he is already aware that Perry is a secret agent, although this could be so he does not have the idea to create another invention to an alternate dimension again.
It is also possible, that he had to get his mind erased so that he could forget about meeting Perry's owners since he wouldn't know about the pet side of Perry's double life or hatch a plan to hold Phineas and Ferb hostage, while the rest of the people who had their minds erased had to forget about the agent side of Perry's double life.
This is the second time Perry's litter box is mentioned ("Phineas and Ferb Hawaiian Vacation").
Not counting the Spot the Diff episode "The Fast and the Ferbulous: Danville Drift", this is the second episode to have only Ferb's name in the title ("Invasion of the Ferb Snatchers").
The horned frog makes an appearance ("The Best Lazy Day Ever").
Baljeet mentions not being able to put his foot behind his head, something Django Brown claims to be able to do ("Jerk De Soleil").
The triangle in Phineas' bike is a reference to the shape of his head.
This is the second instance of someone wearing a hat under another hat. The first was Isabella in "The Beak" when she wears her fedora under her bike helmet.
This is the second time someone only wears a towel for the majority of their screentime. The first was Candace in "Gaming the System".
The "dun-dun-dun" sound is heard a total of six times in the episode.
Phineas breaks the fourth wall by saying "We'll be right back" before a commercial break, and by fixing the time of day of the flashback. He and Ferb also break the fourth wall by staring at the camera after some dramatic music plays and zooms in.
This episode reveals several things:
Jeremy's family is from Wisconsin, and Jeremy is an Anglophile.
Major Monogram is a fan of Ducky Momo.
Ferb has a blog, according to Adrian.
This episode marks the first time Ferb says his own name.
This is the first time Perry is seen sitting cross-legged.
At least one line from My Fair Lady has been used before in "Phineas and Ferb: Summer Belongs to You!". Also, music from "Phineas and Ferb: Summer Belongs to You!" is played in this episode; the instrumental played when the kids jump the ramp on their bikes is played here when Ferb attempts the last shot of the game.
This is the second time Jeremy says "That's my girl" after Candace says that she is going to bust the boys ("A Real Boy").
This is the third time a nose-theme is related to the Fletcher family; the first time is when the Flynn-Fletcher Family went to the Lake Nose for vacation in "The Lake Nose Monster" and the second time is when the kids play Skiddley Whiffers, and Ferb chooses the nose.
This is the second time Baljeet is seen playing soccer. The first was in a flashback in "That Sinking Feeling".
If one looks closely at Doofenshmirtz, one can see that he is in his underwear, making this the sixth episode Doofenshmirtz is in his undergarments ("Lights, Candace, Action!, "Tip of the Day", "Bubble Boys", "Nerds of a Feather", "Run, Candace, Run").
This is the second time Ferb says "Not taking a chance" ("Greece Lightning").
This is the fifth one-word episode. The others were "Rollercoaster", "S'Winter", "Atlantis", and "Canderemy". It is also the second one-word episode in Season 3, after "Canderemy".
Linda does not appear nor is mentioned in this episode.
The images of the title sequence are from "One Good Scare Ought to Do It!", "The Monster of Phineas-n-Ferbenstein", and the Original Pitch.
Another version of the theme song is shown. Candace's line, "Mom, Phineas and Ferb are making a Halloween special!" is similar to her line, "Mom, Phineas and Ferb are making a Christmas special!" in "Phineas and Ferb Christmas Vacation!"
This is the second episode to take place entirely at night ("Candace Gets Busted").
This is the second episode to not take place during the summer, the first being "Phineas and Ferb Christmas Vacation!". It is also the first of three episodes not to take place during a seasonal break from school, followed by "Druselsteinoween" and "Doof 101".
This is the first time that the Doofenshmirtz Evil Incorporated jingle does not include "After hours" when played at night.
The farm where Heinz gets the cow to eat grass is similar to the area in "Ain't No Kiddie Ride" when Candace goes through the barn.
This is the second time a member of the Doofenshmirtz family turns into a monster and goes on a rampage. The first time was when Jekyll Doofenshmirtz turns into a monster in "The Monster of Phineas-n-Ferbenstein".
This episode reveals that Doofenshmirtz hasn't lost the extra pounds he mentions in "Fireside Girl Jamboree". Then again, his stomach could have been full from all of the grass, which he previously had four stomachs to accomodate.
This is one of the few times someone does not say "Oh, there you are, Perry!".
It is never revealed how Doofenshmirtz gets turned back to normal.
A mummy that looks exactly like the one Phineas and Ferb find appears in the beginning of the episode ("Are You My Mummy?").
Many monsters from the Best Monster Contest appear in the background when Phineas, Ferb, and their friends are walking in the sidewalk ("The Monster of Phineas-n-Ferbenstein").
This is the second time Phineas says "cool" and someone else says "no, not cool" ("Unfair Science Fair").
In the United States, the full episode, alongside "The Curse of Candace", was posted on the official Disney XD YouTube channel on October 4, 2021.[2]
This is the second time someone says that an actor of a movie is cute, the first is Candace in "Invasion of the Ferb Snatchers".
Candace says "Get off me!" again ("Lights, Candace, Action!"). In a similar fashion, Carl screams when Major Monogram touches his ear while Carl is thinking of brown recluse spiders ("Bad Hair Day").
Phineas remarks how it seems to be more than 104 days since the start of their summer, which is intended to poke fun at the show's nature and continuity.
Isabella's plant is named Bambina, which is not only a play on the word "bamboo", but it means "little girl" in Spanish.
When Perry is first sitting in his lair, Major Monogram is playing "Jump and Duck" ("Gaming the System").
This is the fourth time someone gets hit in the groin, and the third time it's Doofenshmirtz ("Cheer Up Candace", "Moon Farm", "My Fair Goalie").
Candace is startled to see a steak, which may be because of the similarity between the words "steak" and "stake", the latter of which being a weapon used to kill vampires.
Noticeable bags under Candace's eyes
In most of the times Candace is seen as a "vampire", especially in the last few seconds leading to her disintegration to dust, small bags can be seen underneath her eyes.
This is the first time Phineas doesn't want Ferb to show off when he unties Phineas with his feet.
Phineas and Ferb's invention becomes unruly thanks to Doofenshmirtz again ("Day of the Living Gelatin").
This is the third time someone plays with a ball in "jail" ("Robot Rodeo", Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Across the 2nd Dimension).
This is the second time Phineas and Ferb escape from their own invention ("We Call it Maze").
When Phineas and Ferb get trapped under the dome, Phineas says "I'm feeling such an odd mixture of pride and mortal terror". This is what Doofenshmirtz says in "Phineas and Ferb-Busters!".
The picture that Ferb holds when Phineas tells the tower about Meap is the same picture that Doofenshmirtz holds during the song "Brand New Best Friend" (Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Across the 2nd Dimension).
Buford says he is both proud and ready to soil his pants in terror. This resembles a line previously said by Doofenshmirtz and Phineas, "I'm both filled with pride and mortal terror!" ("Phineas and Ferb-Busters!", "Escape from Phineas Tower").
Ferb crosses words off a list again ("Last Train to Bustville").
The old adage not to "Look a gift horse in the mouth" is said again, only this time it is parodied as "Don't look a gift horde in the mouth" ("Don't Even Blink").
Two of the senior citizens appear from previous episodes:
With the special being named the "12th annual Phineas and Ferb Family Christmas", it could reveal that the brothers might be at least twelve years old. The number also could have been chosen to make the event seem more realistic.
It is also possible that 12 years is about the time that Lawrence and Linda have been married for.
Isabella wears the most winter outfits compared to all of her other winter episodes combined.
Isabella wears similar clothes that she wore in "S'Winter". The winter hat she wears at the end credits is the same one she wore in "Phineas and Ferb Christmas Vacation!"
Third time Isabella wears something that does not match the color of her bow: when looking closely, the dress she is wearing is slightly darker than the bow. ("Lawn Gnome Beach Party of Terror", "Candace Loses Her Head")
Carl takes part of one of Phineas and Ferb's ideas again ("Undercover Carl").
This episode happens sometime in July.
Since "Phineas and Ferb Christmas Vacation!" occurs in the winter after this summer, Doofenshmirtz has not yet been given a reason to hate Christmas, so it is reasonable that he wants to get his "yuletide on."
This is the second episode where Phineas is worried about Perry's whereabouts. ("Oh, There You Are, Perry")
Phineas is upset that all family members are present for the Christmas special except for Perry. Ironically, he does not mention Linda, who never physically appeared on the special or in the ending song. As Ferb said, every Christmas special needs some drama.
Fourth time someone of the Flynn-Fletcher family, excluding Perry, sees Carl ("Comet Kermillian", "Undercover Carl", Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Across the 2nd Dimension). Also, this is the 4th time someone of their friends see him ("Undercover Carl", "Swiss Family Phineas", Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Across the 2nd Dimension).
If one also counts Doug, due to it having its first Christmas episode during its original Nickelodeon run, then Phineas and Ferb is actually the fourth.
This is the only episode where the characters don't speak English, except for Phineas and Ferb discussing their new language, and the only time where the characters are unintelligible.
Many language dubs dubbed their unintelligible talk, with the exception of the Korean dub leaving it undubbed.
This is the first episode to show Gretchen without glasses, Adyson without a hairband, and Katie with loose hair.
Gretchen is the only character who does not wear glasses, while the prehistoric versions of Lawrence, Roger, Carl, and Bobbi are all seen wearing glasses.
Carl's prehistoric version is the only one that is a monkey instead of a human (not counting Perry).
When Can-tok runs through the bushes, her hair is briefly changed to the way her future counterpart's hair looks.
Can-tok with Candace's hairstyle.
Phinabunk feeding stone tablets to Bunka reflects how real platypuses eat, using rocks in their mouth to chew their food.
The fourth wall is broken when Dan says Swampy's part of the episode is hard to understand, and Swampy says that's a good reason why they're doing the stop-motion pictures showing themselves in the episode.
This is the first time both Dan and Swampy are featured on-screen.
When Can-tok tells Phinabunk and Gerb that she is in charge, Phinabunk looks confused, points at the sky and asks "Can-tok in charga? Du mhakka satellakkah?". This is a reference to when Candace would be in charge if a satellite crashed into the house ("Rollercoaster", "Rollercoaster: The Musical!").
This is the fourth time cave-people are seen. ("Boyfriend From 27,000 B.C.", "It's About Time!", "Rollercoaster: The Musical!").
Ferb, Buford, and Candace break the fourth wall by knowing that there's a ripple effect.
This is the first episode in which Candace doesn't turn to see any big idea. Instead, she knows it disappeared thanks to Linda's dialogue.
Doofus Khan jokes, "Oh look, he’s doing that crane thing. You know four centuries from now that move is gonna be real cliche", referring to Karate Kid's iconic crane kick, which has over time become overused in pop culture.
Regent Monogram's phrase, "Man, they would love this in Japan" refers to Japan's iconic kaiju genre, especially the epic monster battles popularized by Godzilla films.
Candace doesn't interact with her brothers in this episode. Phineas and Ferb also don't interact with Linda and Lawrence in the episode.
Doofus Khan making fun of the key placement on the terracota warrior being too obvious is a nod to his future version putting obvious self-destruct buttons on his inators.
This is the last episode to end with a logo identifying the production studio as "Walt Disney Television Animation".
Candace is trying to bust her brothers because the technology they use for their big ideas is far too advanced for their time. Some of the technology didn't get introduced until the 20th century.
In the song "The Way of the Platypus", it is mentioned that Platypuses sweat milk, which is also mentioned in "Does This Duckbill Make Me Look Fat?".
This episode reveals that not only Major Monogram has a pair of green pajamas with sheep on it, but also owns a teddy bear wearing a fedora.
This is the second episode where only two people appear in real life (Carl and Monogram), where the rest of the characters are inside the story ("Phineas and Ferb Get Busted!"). This is also the first episode where the story begins with Major Monogram and Carl's perspective.
Even though it happens in a story, this is the first time that Isabella sees Professor Poofenplotz.
The term "Shepherd spy" is a pun on the food "Shepherd's pie".
Though only a story, Ferb says his longest line in Season 3. This is his second-longest line in the series, the longest being in the Season 2 episode "The Lizard Whisperer".
Phineas and Ferb-a-lot, using their elixirs, transform into various Greek Mythology creatures. Phineas turns into a manticore, a phoenix and a minotaur; while Ferb-a-lot turns into a cockatrice, a Cerberus and a gorgon.
Malifishmertz turns into a combination of a giant minotaur, and a five-headed Hydra.
After about a decade of work, the present-day Panama Canal was completed in 1914, the same year as the events of this episode.
Juatchadoon is a spoof of Isabella's line "What'cha doin'?".
Unlike Phineas, Ohio states that he works for profit.
None of the characters portrayed by the Flynn-Fletchers in this episode seem to be related.
Ohio Flynn, Rhode Island Fletcher, and New Hampshire Garcia-Shapiro's names are dedicated to the states of Ohio, Rhode Island, and New Hampshire in the United States.
Most of the characters in this episode act like adults, regardless of age. This is a nod to the serious theme of the Indiana Jones franchise, which is the main basis of the adventure.
While inside Candace's mind and being attacked by the id, Buford says "You all signed the releases, right?", talking to the group he is guiding. This is similar to what Phineas says in "Rollercoaster".
Norm and Irving are the eighth and ninth characters to be shown in underwear. The others being Dr. Doofenshmirtz, Phineas, Ferb, Perry, Buford, Baljeet, and Jeremy.
Ferb says that the ants would return to their planet if they ever have a picnic or do anything picnic themed. They would do this in the episode "It's No Picnic". However, the ants are not seen in the episode.
This was the last episode of the series to air on the Vietnam feed of Disney Channel Asia before its closure on October 1, 2021.
To represent the "back to front" format of the episode, the title card first appears mirrored, being flipping horizontally to appear as normal.
It is revealed that Major Monogram is allergic to cheese, in spite of that he loves eating it. He is the third character shown to be allergic to dairy products. The first two are Candace and Doofenshmirtz ("Candace Loses Her Head", "I Scream, You Scream").
It is revealed that Carl goes to squirrel conventions.
Dr. Doofenshmirtz is one of the few characters to be shown in underwear.
This is the first time Major Monogram takes part in one of the boys' activities.
This is the third time Adyson is the only Fireside Girl to have a speaking line other than Isabella ("The Lemonade Stand", "The Great Indoors").
Candace doesn't interact with Phineas and Ferb when they build Cheesetopia, but she does when they make the celebration seeking rocket for Little Saul and the Breakingham Palace crew.
Phineas and Ferb are only seen in the first half of the episode. After the shot of Phineas tossing a ball to Perry, he and Ferb aren't seen again for the rest of the episode. This is the first episode to do this, the second is "The Mom Attractor".
Doofenshmirtz has his own O.W.C.A. by-law handbook.
This is the first time Baljeet is seen wearing a ninja suit.
The De-Handsome-inator in reverse produces a similar effect to Cutonium, in that it makes Doofenshmirtz so handsome no one can resist his handsomeness.
It is revealed that Doofenshmirtz is 47 years old.
During the song "I'm Handsome", during the line "My hair is wavy...", a woman in the background can be seen fainting over her windowsill. During the line "Take a picture...", she is seen fainting again in the same way, but in a different direction. This is most likely due to the fact that Doofenshmirtz was animated separately, and the background was flipped out to make it look different.
This is the second time Doofenshmirtz says "As long as you are here" ("Candace Disconnected").
This is the third time someone talks to the "Mysterious Force" that makes Phineas and Ferb's inventions disappear ("Phineas and Ferb Get Busted!", Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Across the 2nd Dimension).
This is the only episode in which Candace doesn't interact with Linda in person.
Candace doesn't interact with Phineas and Ferb nor does she see them in this episode.
Ballooney's robo-suit is seen during "Carpe Diem" ("Rollercoaster: The Musical!").
This is the fourth episode to be related to another ("Unfair Science Fair Redux (Another Story)" to "Unfair Science Fair", "Isabella and the Temple of Sap" to "Bubble Boys", "Rollercoaster: The Musical!" to "Rollercoaster").
This is the third time Candace gets in trouble with her mother ("Candace Gets Busted", "The Secret of Success").
When averting their gazes from Mitch's cuter form, Ferb covers his eyes in the same way that he does when Candace is mistaken for Medusa ("Greece Lightning").
This is the second time Phineas and Ferb interact with Doofenshmirtz (Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Across the 2nd Dimension).
Ferb's log book is seen again ("Phineas and Ferb: Summer Belongs to You!").

A new scene shows Meap and Suzy fighting each other in the Bango-Ru convention.
The scene with Candace saying "What? Jeremy is going to be there?" is revamped.
Mitch doesn't say "Aren't you a little young to save the universe?".
In the trailer, Monogram says "I want your hat on my desk", Carl does his arm pointing, and Perry throws his chair to the screen, which is implied to be immediately afterwards. In the episode, both scenes are separated.
When Mitch laughs at the beginning of the fake trailer, the background is different.
Meap is never depicted putting his head helmet on (though it does fall off and he puts it back on offscreen at the end).

It is revealed by Buford that Phineas and Ferb have built over 150 inventions over the summer, which is over 46 more than the "104 days" mentioned in the theme song.

During the end of the episode, when all the agents are fixing the agency, there are two pig agents. One is wearing a fedora, and another is wearing a hardhat. This is likely due to the O.W.C.A. having more than one agent of the same species, like with the ostriches.
This is the second time someone gets told washing something will teach them karate ("Doof Dynasty").
This is the second time someone gets their foot stuck in a door ("Chez Platypus").

A possible explanation is that when Perry goes home and sees what happened, he returns to the laboratory and reverses the Babe-inator, akin to his act in another adventure ("Phineas and Ferb Interrupted").
This episode marks the first appearance of Monty Monogram.
This episode reveals several things:
Perry has already met Monty offscreen.

During the song, at the museum, a picture of Candace in a Picasso parody saying "Mom!" can be seen again ("Phineas' Birthday Clip-O-Rama!", "Monster from the Id").
Candace says it was the two month nine day anniversary of when her relationship with Jeremy began. Considering their relationship likely begins in "Phineas and Ferb: Summer Belongs to You!", which takes place in the summer solstice, this episode takes place in late August.
There are three fourth wall breaks in this episode:

Second time Isabella joins the Flynn-Fletcher family on a trip. ("Swiss Family Phineas")
First time Buford and Baljeet go with the Flynn-Fletcher family on a trip.
The airport as seen in the episode...and in real life.
The Flynn Fletchers are most likely in Kenya for their vacation, because they flew into Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. Phineas also mentions that they are at the Equator, and Kenya is one of the countries on the Equator.
Kenya is considered to be part of the southern hemisphere, because even though it lies well within the equator, it still has the same climates and weather as other countries in the southern hemisphere at the same times of the year. So on technical terms, that means that because the series mainly takes place in America, during the summer, that this episode took place during the winter.
It's been revealed that there are Fireside Girls in Africa.
Second time that Doofenshmirtz's Inator is a decoy. ("It's About Time!")

One of Ferb's favorite foods is Haggis, a traditional Scottish dish.
In "Where's Perry?", Carl reused the Flynn-Fletcher Robots from I Was a Middle Aged Robot, In this episode, he returns with not only those, but duplicates of: Dr. Doofenshmirtz, Isabella, Baljeet, Buford, Major Monogram, Vanessa, Irving, Norm, and Clyde. Clyde only made a short cameo, getting punched and blown up by Major Monogram.
We learn that O.W.C.A. has agents in Africa. (Though this is only true because Perry recruited them in the episode.)
All of Carl's evil robots have angry expressions, with the exception of Isabella and Norm, who are smiling.
Doofenshmirtz breaks the fourth wall by attempting to get on screen during the credits.
Not counting his voice-only appearance, this is the second time that he is absent in an episode ("Isabella and the Temple of Sap"). It is also the sixth time that Major Monogram is absent ("Isabella and the Temple of Sap", "Canderemy", "Phineas and Ferb Interrupted", "Monster from the Id", "What A Croc!").

This is one of the rare occurrences where Doofenshmirtz calls his nemesis Perry instead of "Perry the Platypus".
16-year-old Heinz wears the same clothing that the present Doofenshmirtz wore in "Unfair Science Fair". Doof also wore similar clothers in a flashback in "At the Car Wash".
When Doofenshmirtz talks about the backstories that appeared in previous episodes, he uses the exact same dialogue word-for-word when he talks about them again in this episode.
If they spent a full day hitting ping pong balls, Phineas and Ferb would have had to have hit roughly 18.09 balls a second to reach 1,562,978. If they spent half the day playing table tennis, nearer to the time they would have if they woke up near usual and played till dinner, supported by it being light outside, they'd have to hit the ball an average of 36.18 times a second with no breaks. With the length of a table tennis table being 2.74 m, the ball would have had to have been travelling at a minimum speed of 99.13 m/s or 356.88 km/h (221.75 mi/h).
This episode marks the last appearance of Balloony in the original series run.
