“ | If that Dorcham and Wesley boot scraper still exists, we'll find it down here. | ” |
— Lawrence Fletcher |
Phineas and Ferb are helping their father unearth a missing piece of Danville history when they run into his lifelong nemesis, Worthington Dubois, at a flea market. Meanwhile, Dr. Doofenshmirtz makes himself younger to win a children's film festival, and Candace uses the swap meet to try and get an extremely rare Ducky Momo item.
Episode Summary[]
The Flynn-Fletcher family arrives at the semi-annual Tri-State Area Antique Show and Swap Meet. Lawrence tells them about a Boot Scraper, explaining that only one was ever made and that it has been lost, so if he found it, he could become the envy of the antiquing community, especially his nemesis Worthington Dubois. Phineas tells Lawrence that he and Ferb found a Boot Scraper map in the Parchment Booth, which surprises Lawrence, as only three maps were made.
Perry approaches a booth with a comic book on top of a box. He opens the comic book and enters it. Major Monogram tells him he has no idea what Dr. Doofenshmirtz is up to, and orders Perry to check his nemesis.
At the Swap Meet, Candace sees a rare Ducky Momo variant. She approaches the stand and asks the vendor for it. When the salesman denies, she offers to trade it for something. The salesman explains that he wants a baby rattle, and Candace goes to another salesman to buy it, but he refuses to give it to her. She then begins to run around trying to find items for multiple salesmen.
Meanwhile, Doofenshmirtz captures Perry in film and explains that film is the best medium for swaying public attention. Because of that, he has created a movie that will convince the people from the Tri-State Area to elect him as their leader. To do that, he entered the Film Festival, but he needs to be younger to participate. He then presents the De-Age-inator, which will turn him into a teenager so that he can enter the festival.
Phineas, Ferb, and Lawrence approach the Boot Scrapers Hall. In a pedestal, Phineas notices a plaque with symbols. Lawrence deciphers the passage and spots a message on top of the doors. Phineas tells Ferb to use a mirror on it, revealing it to be written backwards. They realize the Disk of Fate is a coat of arms above the doorway and that the podium has a giant slot in it. Grabbing the coat of arms, Phineas discovers it's actually a big penny and tosses it to Ferb, who places it in the slot. The foot comes down on the podium, lowering it to the ground, and revealing a spiral staircase. The trio then head down the staircase.
At Doofenshmirtz Evil Incorporated, Doofenshmirtz finds an unplugged cable and plugs it in, which causes the De-Age-inator to shoot the film wrapping Perry, turning it to oil. Perry attacks Doofenshmirtz, but Heinz shoots the De-Age-inator at himself, making him younger. At the same time, Candace continues her hunt. To her relief, a salesman only wants a dollar. She then begins to hand items to all of the people she had promised.
Phineas, Ferb, and Lawrence enter a wide chamber. When Lawrence moves forward, Phineas and Ferb pull him down as cobbler mallets are thrown from various holes. After escaping the trap, they fall through a hole. In the next room, they turn around to see a massive boot falling back, revealing an entrance in its sole. They enter an enormous room with multiple instruments. Lawrence explains that only one of the instruments is real and makes a move towards a boot scraper, but Worthington Dubois pushes him aside and claims it. Lawrence reveals it is a fake, and Dubois is squished by a boot that breaks the floor below him. Lawrence then grabs the rest of the instruments and the trio dash for the exit as the temple crumbles above them.
Meanwhile, a teenager Doofenshmirtz and Perry are fighting over the DVD. Doofenshmirtz climbs the De-Age-inator and accidentally activates the rapid fire command, which shoots multiple rays outside the building. Candace walks to the first salesman and places the baby rattle on his table. The baby rattle is hit by the De-Age-inator, which cleans it. As the salesman gives the Ducky Momo to Candace, he notices the change and calls off the deal. At the same time, Perry and Doofenshmirtz break the De-Age-inator.
Phineas, Ferb, and Lawrence escape the hall as it collapses. Worthington Dubois emerges from the ruins and explains that he had landed in the ruins of the Sandal Scrapers. With another instrument, Dubois announces his plan to use it to become the most powerful antiques collector. As he begins to target the trio, multiple UFOs surround him. Garbog places the trio in three UFOs, and they begin shooting Dubois.
It is revealed that Phineas and Ferb's story had been the winning movie of the Filmmakers Festival. Phineas and Ferb are invited to the stage, and Phineas thanks Lawrence for the help. Worthington Dubois is then revealed to have been Buford and Baljeet.

Allusions[]
- National Treasure: Book of Secrets - The episode's title parodies the title of the 2007 film.
- Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade - When Lawrence has to pick the correct boot scraper, it alludes to the scene in the Indiana Jones film where he has to pick the correct Holy Grail. Also, after Worthington Dubois chooses a wrong boot scraper, Phineas says "He chose poorly", the same line the Templar says near the end of the film.
- Raiders of the Lost Ark - When Worthington Dubois becomes a gigantic ghost-like creature, it is similar to what happened in the movie to Belloq. Also, Phineas, Ferb, and Lawrence are seen ducking under cobbling mallets shooting from the walls, similar to darts in the movie, and Lawrence parodies Indiana Jones' line "Snakes. Why did it have to be snakes?" when he says "Cobblers' mallets. Why did it have to be cobblers' mallets?".
- The Avengers - Phineas says "Team Danville, Assemble", referencing the phrase "Avengers Assemble".
- Jurassic Park - The T-Rex roaring at the end of the movie is a reference to the ending of Jurassic Park.
- Rambo - On the cover of the comic book Agent of O.W.C.A., Major Monogram is dressed like John Rambo.
- Presidents of the United States - The song "Swap Meet" mentions presidential bar soap and features pictures of former presidents George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Ronald Reagan, Bill Clinton, and George W. Bush carved on soap and on the boxes.
- Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets - The name of one of the rooms in the cave is the "Cavern of Secrets", alluding to the "Chamber of Secrets".
