The Missing Platypus is the eleventh 8x8 book based on Phineas and Ferb, published on June 19, 2012.
Book Summary[]
The Flynn-Fletcher family and their friends are going on a vacation to Africa, when suddenly Perry receives a call from his boss and has to fake sickness to go on his mission. Agent P arrives and quickly leaves when he sees that Doofenshmirtz didn't have anything too evil planned, but unbeknownst to him, Heinz was hiding the Ultimate Evil-inator, and attempted to hit Monogram with it only to end up hitting Carl instead.
Meanwhile, the Flynn-Fletchers and the gang are on a safari, and they arrive at the last spot, a gorge, in which a highly unconventional vehicle is needed to cross. After the safari is concluded, Phineas and his friends build the animal-inspired vehicle. Back in Danville, Carl orders Doofenshmirtz to bring more of his inventions to see if any of them are useful, and Perry arrives after being called by Monogram. The agent is then trapped and freed in the span of a few moments.
In Africa, the kids are preparing themselves to cross the gorge with their newly built vehicle, but they end up losing control and falling. At the same time, Perry disables the agency supercomputer in an attempt to stop Carl, but is zapped by all of Doofenshmirtz's inators.
