Bring it on, maggots[]

There is a usenet posting from 2000 where user, Sgt. Rock, says the phrase (He uses, "maggot."). I cannot tell if the phrase was already a catchphrase by this time. Buggum | (Talk) 19:35, June 21, 2011 (UTC)

The use of "maggot" as an insult predates that by a long period. It brings to mind the stereotypical army drill instructor, and indeed the famous drill instructor portrayed by R. Lee Ermey in the film Full Metal Jacket (released in 1987) used "maggots" as an insult, for example. Yer pal, Mobo85 23:46, June 21, 2011 (UTC)
The 2000 quote is, "Bring it on, maggot." Buggum | (Talk) 00:47, June 22, 2011 (UTC)

Allusions: Monopoly[]

The old man standing next to Roger Doofenshmirtz in the key ceremony looks a lot like Rich uncle Pennybags from the Monopoly board game.Theroach (talk) 10:41, March 26, 2013 (UTC)
