Periods inside of quotations[]
"I know it doesn't look right, but it is." (Putting a period before the ending quotation mark.) Felinoel, that's from writing style books, correct?
- the Street Performers find that they have been "served."
- the Street Performers find that they have been "served".
- the Street Performers find that they have been "served."
I never understood why if you're including a quotation and it happens to be at the end of your sentence, you're required to put the ending punctuation inside the quotation. Shouldn't your sentence have higher priority over the quotation since the quotation is inside your sentence, instead of being a stand-alone quoted sentence? (A stand-alone quote would be: "Dude, we just got served." It's a full sentence.)
Giving punctuation to the sentence higher priority also resolves situations where the quotation may be a question or an exclamation, but for the purposes of the sentence, you do not want to carry that over. — RRabbit42 14:57, 10 June 2009 (UTC)
- Its just the English language, the rules for it literally change every year. felinoel ~ (Talk) 15:03, 14 June 2009 (UTC)

An anonymous user (68.230.166.18, who has not been back here since) posted the first message. I was half-joking when I wrote "as opposed to what?" I was thinking I could do a tap-dance, a riverdance, a hula, read a book, write a novel, write a ticket, and then sing the song. Sound good? — RRabbit42 05:15, 19 May 2009 (UTC)
- Not good but mildly adequate I guess felinoel ~ (Talk) 05:55, 19 May 2009 (UTC)
- Ok, thanks for clearing that up.—Ardi Correspondence Talk Nomination 06:22, 19 May 2009 (UTC)

I recently undid a vandalism that was made to this song. Someone put "Booo yeah..." after the Street Performer (the one who says "Hypnotize me, put me in a trance") says "We just got served". Anyway, I love this song! :DCandaceFan 20:03, October 1, 2010 (UTC)
Ok Very Funny[]
Ok, very funny Mr. IP Address. [[1]] is the kind of nonsense that needs to stop. CandaceFan 23:54, January 24, 2011 (UTC)
