Why you can't put a Goldfish in the ocean[]
Another example of creative license when it comes to marine biology.
A Goldfish is a freshwater fish.
Freshwater fish are completely incapable in living in high salt environments, such as the ocean.
If placed in marine quality water, the goldfish will be dead in just over an hour, the longest survival time on record is 6 hours.
Salt is actually lethal to a freshwater fish.
