Are we completly sure that this isn't German for "Don't move!", "Bewegen sie nicht"? Do anyone here take German at school?-Audun 19:50, 29 October 2008 (UTC)

Yes, because he says that in the episode, but he made it up i think

I took a couple years of German back in high school. I'm quite certain he did say "Bewegen sie nicht!" Use of the third-person form makes it more of an impersonal command. Doof's dad really was a big jerk, when you get right down to it.—PCachu 03:34, 12 May 2009 (UTC)
Well its just another one of the things of Doof's childhood to make him the character we enjoy today. felinoel ~ (Talk) 00:29, 14 June 2009 (UTC)
I´m German and to me its sounds like "Bewege dich nicht" but with an accent. SG-27 18:58, April 15, 2012 (UTC)
Druelselstein is a fictional Germanic country.
Therefore it makes sense that it's language is derived, if not an adaptation of a regional German language.

"Fictional" just means that if you were to look at a globe or any other official source of countries in our world, you wouldn't find it. Wikipedia uses that to distinguish between made-up countries, characters, etc., to keep them separate from real-world items. Since this wiki is focused on the world in the TV show with real-world info to supplement it, we don't need that word and I took it out.
Setting that aside, many languages trace their history to other languages, whether real-world or made up for a story. The Minion from Despicable Me has bits from six real-world languages plus gibberish. —RRabbit42 (leave a message) 13:11, August 1, 2020 (UTC)

Why is the header picture of the Moon? That doesn't make sense to me. 98.185.59.8 00:19, February 11, 2010 (UTC)

It is a picture of the location. felinoel ~ (Talk) 12:59, February 11, 2010 (UTC)

Drueselstein?![]

Are you sure it's called "Drueselstein"? Gruselstein would make much more sence, since "Grusel" is the german word for "Horror" 84.151.197.195 04:23, August 29, 2010 (UTC)

Dan Povenmire says in here that he spells it 'Drueselstein', which is close to 'Druelselstein'. PFMuffinStrike455 Talk 16:25, August 29, 2010 (UTC)

Then the page should be updated because it is currently Druelselstein which is wrong—and from listening to them pronounce it, there’s definitely no ‘l’ at the beginning. (I would think that it would have been spelled Drüsselstien, or even Drüßelstien since they don’t seem like the kind of community that would be too up-to-date.) 99.255.3.117 20:37, June 3, 2011 (UTC) Alec S.
The official name now is Drusselstein, thanks to the episode "The Doonkleberry Imperative". Patrickau 26 07:17, April 2, 2012 (UTC)

Location[]

I know it's a stupid thing, but are we sure Druelselstein is in Europe? Doof was raised by Ocelots which are, he even states in 2nd Dimension, Northern American wildcats. In his teens he dated Linda, yet had his art spoilt by Roger when he was either late teens or early 20's. Also, the Doofenshmirtz Family Gathering is in Danville, not in Gimmelshtump. This would be very expensive, just to allow Roger and Heinz to attend without travel. Ah, and Roger is a US citizen with a perfect American accent - so he either left home at an early age, the Doofensmirtz moved to America or - they were already in America. What is this based on? They can't even agree on which way a goat should walk.... Buggum | (Talk) 15:46, May 3, 2012 (UTC)

Deceased?[]

Why does it say the citizens are deceased? Any proof?Chanman876 (talk) 02:18, September 5, 2012 (UTC)
