Super Perry and the Marvel Alliance is a rail shooter game based on Phineas and Ferb, developed by Yamago for the Disney website on July 26, 2013. It is a tie-in to the episode "Phineas and Ferb: Mission Marvel".

Plot[]

The Marvel Villains are terrorizing the underground. Agent P has to defeat them with the help of the Marvel Heroes.

Gameplay[]

There are four levels, each spotlighting a hero-villain pair. In the stages, the player must navigate across a circular tunnel to get to the delegated boss, dodging drone attacks and valve and siren obstacles along the way. Perry can be steered left and right with the respective arrow keys, while he automatically fires forward to hit enemies. Two items are collectable; a life capsule to refill the health bar, and hero tokens to charge the super meter. Once full, a special move is granted by summoning the appointed ally using the spacebar.

Levels[]

  • Level 1: Spider-Man vs. Venom
    • Hero attack: Slinging slash
    • Boss attack: Symbiote virus
  • Level 2: Iron Man vs. Whiplash

Background Information[]

  • A silhouette of Doofenshmirtz is shown in the title screen, even though the doctor has no part in the game.
  • The UI design used in the game imitates the vintage comic book style identified by monochromatic gradient panels, blended to the signature blue-red-yellow palette of Perry's superhero persona.
  • Of the hero-villain duos featured, the first two are actual rivalries, the third is the focus of occasional conflicts, and the fourth does not have any direct connection.
  • The tokens for the superheroes are each modeled around an element of theirs; Spider-Man's has his symbol, Iron Man's has his face, Hulk's has his fist, and Thor's has his hammer.
  • Three pick-ups have to be amassed for a special blitz, through which all the obstacles and adversaries in the screen are wiped out, and a five-second invincibility is conferred afterwards. If activated on the big battles, they do a significant amount of damage on the boss.
  • During a run, points can be earned upon beating enemies, destroying props, and acquiring powerups. From lowest to biggest, tokens give 500 points; foes, assets, and capsules give 1,000 points; and bosses give 5,000 points.
  • In every level, the subterranean area is colored differently, with the backgrounds ranging from pale tints of green, blue, yellow, and orange, in order.
  • Perry rides a fitting hoverboard for the mission, contrasting with the villains piloting a levitating stand in the fights.
