"Summer Is Starting Right Now" is a pop song from the Phineas and Ferb revival season episode "Summer Block Buster". It is performed by Phineas with a backing chorus by the other kids and outside melodies from Candace and Doofenshmirtz, to commemorate the return to the summer routine.

  • Dan posted a video of him and Swampy recording Vincent Martella/Phineas' lines for the concluding segment of the song. Dan even said that it made him feel sentimental hearing Vincent's voice again.[1]
  • The animatic of this song was first previewed at the Annecy Festival on June 11, 2024, as part of the "40 Years of Disney Television Animation: Past, Present and Future" panel.[2]
  • The finished version of the song was first shown as a sneak peek at the New York Comic Con on October 17, 2024; audio from the panel was leaked on December 21, 2024.[3]
    • This sneak peek included a preliminary mix featuring Dan Povenmire as Phineas in the first sequence, Isabella as the chorus' lead voice, and tentative backing vocals performed by Danny Jacob.
    • Due to the unintentional leak, the song was removed from its original YouTube upload between December 31, 2024, and January 1, 2025.
  • On February 22, 2025, the first sample of its CD, high-quality version was released via X, featuring new instrumentation, updated backing vocals, and its original tempo (i.e., with no speed-ups for its broadcast version).[4]
  • The choreography for the song was done by TikTok dancers Cost n' Mayor, who weren't credited.[5]
  • Official title was revealed in the summer 2025 issue of Disney Twenty-Three magazine, the official publication of D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Club.
  • The song was released onto Spotify and other streaming platforms on May 21, 2025.
  • The song has a similar vibe to "What Time Is It?" from High School Musical 2. Incidentally, the original Phineas and Ferb series premiered as a preview following the premiere of HSM2, on August 17, 2007.
  • Katie is the only Fireside Girl not to appear in the song.
