- In the introduction, Ferb hands out a tip regarding the logic process, suggesting the method of elimination to narrow down trickier elements appearing throughout.
- An annotation is included on the bottom of the rule page, pointing towards the disposition of solutions around the final section.
- Continuing the 6-Square chat from the first volume, Isabella wonders if Phineas is having fun devising brain teasers, to which he responds with the catchphrase "Yes, yes I am".
- Beside the Hue-Dokus, Phineas excitedly exclaims "I challenge hue!", playing on the taunting phrase "I challenge you!" and the word "hue" denoting a property of colors.
- For the Zoo-Dokus, Buford questions Baljeet on what exactly a mollusk is, subtly providing a bit of exposition for young players.
