The fifth season of Phineas and Ferb was officially announced on January 13, 2023. It had been renewed as part of a new deal between Dan Povenmire and Disney.[1] Originally expected to premiere in 2024,[2] the season is set to debut on June 5, 2025 on Disney Channel and Disney XD simultaneously, with the first ten episodes being added to Disney+ the following day.[3][4][5]

  • This is the first season to be produced since the original conclusion of the series in 2015.
  • A look-ahead on the revival was held during the Disney Television Animation panel at the Annecy Film Festival on June 11, 2024, disclosing an animatic preview of the inaugural music number "The Song of the Summer" and the new timeframe set a year after the initial run.[6]
  • Returning from his role in "The Phineas and Ferb Effect" and Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Candace Against the Universe, David Errigo Jr. replaces Thomas Sangster as the voice of Ferb in this season. Making this the first season where he voices Ferb and the first season of the series without Thomas Sangster voicing Ferb.
  • After the first episode premieres on Disney Channel and Disney XD, the same episode, alongside the first nine episodes afterward, will premiere on Disney+ in a batch, in a similar release strategy to Hamster & Gretel (which was also created by Dan Povenmire), The Ghost and Molly McGee, Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur, Kiff, Hailey's On It!, Zombies: The Re-Animated Series, and Primos.
  • Four days before Disney officially announced the premiere date for the season, Dan Povenmire indirectly divulged on TikTok that he's been secretly starting a countdown to the season's premiere in his videos.[7]
    • Povenmire began the countdown on February 21, 2025, starting at the number 104, as a nod to how many days of summer vacation the show canonically revolves around, which led fans to discover the season's premiere date for themselves.[8][9]
