The lyrics feature a line combining a number of acronyms which relate to first aid: TLC (Tender Loving Care), CPR, though stated as "mouth to mouth" (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), PRE (Passive Resistance Exercise), EMT (Emergency Medical Technician), and MTV (Manually Triggered Ventilator or, formerly, Music Television).
The song is a parody of the theme to the syndicated TV show, Baywatch.
The name of the song may be a reference to a song by Lionel Richie, "Say You, Say Me".
