Tri-State Gazette
The Official Phineas and Ferb Wiki Newsletter, Preview Issue: August 1, 2009

News and information from the world of Phineas and Ferb.

Welcome to the Tri-State Gazette, Phineas and Ferb Wiki's official newsletter. It is here that a select group of editors will write different columns meant to inform you about the latest and greatest news in the show and in the community! Each issue will be sent bi-weekly (i.e., every other week) and sent to subscriber's talk pages for you to read! This specific issue is meant to give you a taste of what's yet to come, so we here at the Gazette hope you enjoy it!

Our Community

Our wiki is a community made up of people from around the world. Of course we have people from the United States, but we also have people from the Philippines, Australia and all over the world.

It is amazing that such different people love the same thing: a triangle-headed kid, his stepbrother, and their pet platypus who lives a double life as a spy. Millions of kids (and adults) around the world watch this show, and a few of us have chosen to keep track of it so that others may learn about our favorite show.

In this column, I'll be exploring ways to bring this community together under one banner. We'll try and see what the efforts of our community can accomplish.

Main page redesign

By Ardi

If you check the Recent Changes every day, you might have noticed that there are 3 pages that are constantly being changed, and then you probably noticed that Topher208 and I are working on different sandboxes on the new look for the main page. The sandboxes can be viewed at this page for my sandbox and User:Topher208's 2 sandboxes for the main page can be viewed here and here.

Now, this article is to give you a quick update of the progress of the main page, without boring you to death. First, we plan on replacing the news with "Bloglists and Blogs". Both sandboxes now use this style. Second, the episode progressions now have a different way of showing on the page, and now shows BOTH of the episodes, like the first one, both sandboxes now use this new way. The Helping out section is scheduled for a change, which will include possibly moving it to the Community Portal when it gets redesigned too.

That's basically all of it, so if you want to compare the sandboxes, check out the main page and the sandboxes.

Doofenshmirtz Activity Task Force and notes from The Book
By RRabbit42

Each day, Agent P gets his mission from Major Monogram. Typically, the mission consists of "Dr. Doofenshmirtz is up to something and put a stop to it." But whom does Major Monogram receive his intelligence reports from?

Each day, Candace tries to bust her brothers for the things they do that she knows she wouldn't get away with if she tried them herself. But she's not the only one who's noticed Phineas and Ferb's projects.

In each newsletter, we'll see the Doofenshmirtz Activity Task Force in action, and learn a little more about the person that's taken a special interest in those projects.

Coming in two weeks:
  • "Oh! There you are Perry!" The hunt begins for Perry the Platypus-themed merchandise for many Phineas and Ferb fans.
  • Doofenshmirtz Activity Task Force report #1.
  • Journal entry #1.
  • Update on the Community Portal redesign.
  • News on how Featured Articles work.
