Making your own, custom userbox is simple.
All you have to do is copy the following into the Userbox section of your Userpage and replace the things in all caps with your choices:

For example, typing in:

Making a Template[]
In order make a template, start a new article under the name Template:WHATEVER IT'S CALLED, But do not use spaces.

On the actual page of the Template, you can copy paste the following text on the page, and edit the Capitalized letters accordingly.

While it is fine to make and use your own userboxes, as long as it is appropriate for the wiki, if you want or are ok with the rest of the wiki to using it, you may want to create a page for it, which is taught to you above. If you experience any problems creating the page, feel free to ask around or ask one of the administrator.
