Phineas and Ferb-ruary was the promotion that Disney Channel used to officially start the Phineas and Ferb series, with broadcasts on Disney Channel worldwide. Two episodes had previously been broadcast as sneak previews: "Rollercoaster" on August 17, 2007 and "Lawn Gnome Beach Party of Terror" on September 28, 2007.

An episode was broadcast on each of the 29 days during that Leap Year month at 8 pm EST. Disney Channel did not show the episodes in the same order as they were produced. For example, "Are You My Mummy?" is paired with "Flop Starz", but was shown two weeks after "Flop Starz". While this could have lead to continuity problems, Dan Povenmire has stated that the episodes are not made in a purely chronological order.[2]

The first day of the event was titled No Ordinary Friday, which featured the premiere of an episode of The Suite Life of Zack & Cody and the Disney Channel debut of The Incredibles. On the rollout's last day, the Extraordinary Leap Day Marathon was held from 3:30 to 8:15 pm EST, showing every adventure at that point.

  • In conjunction with the event, a product collection consisting of t-shirts, hats, and sandals for kids was released on February 5. As part of the promotion, Disney Stores across the nation had window displays, branded shopping bags, and free gift decals.[8]
  • The decision to delay the official launch of the series until February 2008 allowed time for Disney Channel in nations outside the US to have the show translated into the various languages they broadcast in.[9]
  • On February 29, "Mom's Birthday" was accidentally broadcasted instead of "Journey to the Center of Candace" in a few areas.[10] Since this was not an intentional stealth airing, it is not counted. "Mom's Birthday" officially premiered on May 10, 2008.[11]
