“ | We should make a video compilation of all of Phineas's greatest moments. | ” |
— Irving |
It's Phineas' birthday and for the special occasion, Ferb puts together a clip show of the gang's favorite moments. Meanwhile, Agent P has to stop Dr. Doofenshmirtz from using his 'non-inator' to pre-empt his brother's biography from appearing on television.
Episode Summary[]
Phineas wakes up and notices that Ferb's bed is empty, with a note on it. Phineas reads the note, which tells him that he will go on a scavenger hunt. Ferb exits the backyard to go to Irving's house. Once inside, Ferb, Isabella, Irving, Buford, and Baljeet discuss what they will do for Phineas' birthday, and they decide to create a video compilation of his greatest moments. Candace watches them and sees Isabella, Baljeet, and Buford leave, each holding a disc. Candace then makes her way to Isabella's house. At the Flynn-Fletcher home, Phineas reads his first clue.
Perry walks into his lair and sits down. Major Monogram tells Perry that his entrances are lackluster lately, and orders Carl to roll some footage of Perry's entrances. Perry then walks out. At Isabella's house, Candace walks into Isabella's room, where she is editing the video she got from Irving earlier. Candace presses play, and a short video of Phineas plays. Candace asks Isabella if she has any footage of Phineas' inventions, which Isabella denies. Candace then decides to go to Baljeet's house.
At Doofenshmirtz Evil Incorporated, Perry kicks Doofenshmirtz's door open and runs in, only to be trapped inside a TV. Doofenshmirtz faces Perry and explains that he saw him coming on his video surveillance system. He then plays a series of videos displaying Perry being trapped. He tells Perry that he has figured out why his schemes fail, which is because they have inator in the name. He says that is why he named his newest invention the Video-Beam-Hijack-non-inator. At the same time, Candace receives a call from her Mom asking where she is, as she promised to help ice the cake. Candace explains that she got a little sidetracked, and a clip then plays showing each time Candace tries to bust the boys.
Phineas arrives at the Tri-State Plank & Board, where a construction lady greets him. He wonders if she saw Ferb, and she states that she has seen a guy wearing a super suit, and realizes that it was Ferb. She asks Phineas if he is a little young, and a clip plays showing people asking Phineas the same question. They then walk over to where Ferb had been, finding a giant slushy dog on a stick, which Phineas takes for a visual clue. At Baljeet's house, Candace barges in and demands to see the video that Baljeet has. Baljeet presses play, and the video shows several weird moments from Phineas and Ferb's adventures. Candace then decides to go to Buford's house.
Meanwhile, Doofenshmirtz explains that people are making a biography mini-series about his brother that runs all day long, which he claims is a propaganda piece. He invented the Video-Beam-Hijack-non-inator so that he can pre-empt the biography so his brother can't rely on his ability to not be despised. He then decides to let his brother warm things up for him before announcing his takeover of the Tri-State Area, turning the machine on to charge it.
Candace, who is outside Buford's house, thinks of a way to get Buford away from his computer. Buford's mother then calls for him. Candace climbs in through the window and finds the video. She presses the find button, and videos of Phineas and Ferb's inventions begin to play. She then steals the disc and climbs out.
At the Googolplex Mall, Phineas walks over to Mr. Slushy Dawg, where Jeremy gives him his next clue. Jeremy wonders if Phineas can think of any strange sentences he has heard during the summer. Phineas walks away, but then runs back remembering some, which are shown in a clip. Phineas reads the clue, which tells him to return home.
Heinz's invention is almost ready, and he states that Perry can't stop him. A video plays, showing Perry and Doofenshmirtz fighting in various occasions. Perry slides his tail underneath the TV and pushes a button on it, making it rise up and freeing him. Heinz grabs a TV remote and pushes a button, shooting a laser at Perry. Perry runs, grabs another remote, and hides behind a TV. The two then try to blast each other with their remotes.
Phineas walks in his backyard to see all of his friends wishing him a happy birthday. Candace is a few blocks away, running back home. Heinz destroys Perry's remote, but one blast from his own reflects against a mirror, narrowly misses him, and hits one of the legs on his invention, firing it.
Candace ducks down, causing the ray to miss her and hit a TV, which causes the repairman to burst some pipes, one of which reverses a one-way sign, making a DVD recycle truck travel the wrong way. The back door flies open, causing a swarm of DVDs to fall out over Candace, but she escapes with the correct DVD. The sewage pipes blow up, and the repairman's flanch tuner flies into the sky. Some birds chase Candace, making her lose her balance. She trips, and the disc flies into the air. She then cartwheels onto the top of an elephant, and kicks the disc into the air. She swings on a banner and lands on an unicycle. She catches the disc, flies up a ramp, and lands with the flanch tuner. Heinz tries to blast Perry again, but his remote is out of batteries. Perry pulls out a remote and blasts it. Heinz ducks, and the blast hits his inator, setting it on fire.
At the party, Linda and Lawrence are disappointed that they missed the video presentation, but the cake was destroyed and they were at the bakery to get another. Candace runs in with the disc and tries to show it to Linda, but Phineas begins a speech. His speech moves the audience and Candace, who realizes that she cannot bring herself to bust him on his birthday. Giving up, she smashes the DVD with the flanch tuner. Phineas walks up to her, and she tries to tell him that she didn't get him a present, but Phineas realizes she has a left-handed flanch tuner, which is what he wanted. Linda then offers cake to the people at the party.

Isabella: Oh just a little birthday video I'm editing for Phineas Candace: Then lets see. (Candace plays the video) Computer Phineas: (in the video) We'll-Be-Together-Forever-Isabella. Isabella: (Looks embarrassed at Candace) Hehe... Candace: But, don't you have anything more, you know, unusual? Isabella: Of course! Watch this. (Presses play, in video) I saw the best girls of my troop, hungry, patchless, out of uniform. Candace: Okay, seriously, whoa. I mean, like Phineas's inventions? Isabella: Nope, I didn't get any of that footage. Candace: Then you're useless to me. Candace out! Isabella: Hm... I have to talk to her about her exits. (Isabella returns to editing her video) Computer Phineas: Isabella-Will-You-Marry-Me? Isabella: Ah... The magic of digital editing! |

Phineas: That's me... (takes off helmet) ...in the flesh. Construction Lady: Oh, you and your helmet. |
Linda: (On the phone with Candace) Candace, where are you? You promised to help ice the cake after you got Phineas's present.
Candace: Yeah, well I got a little sidetracked preparing for the bust of the century. Later today I'm going to show you something you won't believe. Phineas: Hey, Jeremy!
Jeremy: Want a Slushy Dawg? Phineas: Sure. Super suit-generated egg renderings always make me a bit peckish. Jeremy: I bet that's the first time anyone ever said that! By the way, Ferb left this clue for you. Phineas: Thanks. Jeremy: I bet you guys have heard a lot of strange sentences over the course of the summer. Phineas: Boy, I'll say. Jeremy: Can you think of any examples? Phineas: Nope. Not off-hand. |
Phineas: Commenting about his Birthday party ...All the people I love...

Candace: (Crying) I can't do it! Not on his birthday! Destroys the disc with the tool I mean, what kind of person am I?! Phineas: Aw, Candace, you're a great person. Why, if I had a nickel for each time you did something nice for me... (Pauses) Well, I wouldn't know what to do with that much money! Candace: (Continues crying) But I didn't even get you a- Phineas: Wait a minute. (Looks at tool Candace is holding) Is that... It is! A left handed flanch tuner! I've been looking for one of those forever! Candace: You've been...huh? Phineas: They're impossible to find. Custom made for Danville sewage repair, but they have a thousand uses! I love it. It's just what I've been wanting! (He runs up and hugs her) Thank you Candace! Candace: (After a few seconds, she hugs him back) You're welcome. Phineas: You're the best sister ever.
