“ | And a well timed one coming only thirty seconds before you are destroyed along with the rest of Danville. | ” |
— Norm |
Candace finds it difficult to bust Phineas and Ferb when her brothers build nanobots that can assemble into any object they can imagine. Meanwhile, Dr. Doofenshmirtz has jury duty, so Norm takes over the day’s evil scheme—to destroy Danville by using weapons.
Episode Summary[]
Phineas and Ferb are in their garage as Isabella, Buford and Baljeet come by to see what they are doing. Phineas explains that they are making nanobots, and Buford wants them to impress him. Phineas uses the controls to have the nanobots form the word "hello". The kids then start requesting things.
Perry enters the best Noodle House in Shanghai and meets Major Monogram, who explains that he wanted to tell Perry about what Doofenshmirtz is up to, but he was not allowed to use his phone for the flight and he didn't have international coverage. He then tells Perry to go back to Danville and check on Doofenshmirtz.
At the Flynn-Fletcher house, the kids make a car and a helicopter. Candace enters the room to see what the boys are making. She goes to Linda, who is reading. Candace tries to tell her mom about the helicopter, but Linda thinks that they are just making models.
At Doofenshmirtz Evil Incorporated, Norm offers Perry a muffin and gets a message from Doofenshmirtz, who is away at jury duty. Doofenshmirtz plans to get out of it, and asks Norm to show initiative. Norm traps Perry with the muffin and apologizes for the inconvenience. He figures out that Doofenshmirtz's schemes always fail because he uses inventions instead of weapons. Norm then leaves to make some.
By the kitchen door to the garage, Candace tries to identify her brothers' project. The boys start creating random objects with the nanobots. Candace goes back to the living room to try to explain the boys' activities to Linda. Linda asks her to get a believable story, and mirrors Candace's tattling.
At court, Doofenshmirtz is asked about his current occupation. The judge is confused to find out that Doofenshmirtz is a "mad scientist" (even though Doof insists he is actually an evil scientist). Because of Heinz's profession, the judge asks him for insight in Dr. Diminutive's case. Dr. Diminutive reveals that he has "borrowed" Doofenshmirtz's Shmaultz-inator. Doofenshmirtz says that he doesn't know Dr. Diminutive, but Dr. Diminutive provides a photo proof of the two being friends.
Phineas and Ferb have created full-sized cars. Candace is trying to identify what they are doing to get a story. She sees the cars, which then turn into different vehicles, much to her frustration. Meanwhile, Norm shows Perry his weapon, himself. He then leaves, leaving his blow torch in Perry's reach, which he uses to escape. Norm starts attacking Danville. He tells the people of the Tri-State Area that they have two minutes to surrender. Doofenshmirtz, now in the penitentiary with Dr. Diminutive, overhears this and is annoyed at Norm.
Perry lands in the garage, takes the controls for the nanobots and flies to Norm's location. Once there, he uses the nanobots to fight Norm. Norm gets another message from Doofenshmirtz, who tells Norm off for making weapons. Perry creates a giant acorn to attract the squirrel powering Norm, as Norm falls. Perry then returns to the Flynn-Fletcher house, dropping the nanobot controller.
Candace finally gets her story when the kids cannot find the controls for the nanobots. As she goes to bust the boys, the squirrel who was powering Norm steps on the controller, turning the cars back into nanobots. Linda turns to see the nanobots, thinking they are a large pile of dust. She then goes inside to offer the kids some ice cream. In jail, Doofenshmirtz gets annoyed by Dr. Diminutive playing a harmonica.

Memorable Quotes[]
Doofenshmirtz: Try not to be a complete disappointment. |
Candace: Mom! Mom! Phineas and Ferb are making a giant tape dispenser, but it's also a rowboat, and a baseball hat, and a light bulb, and a gingerbread-man with a fist for head, and a pig face, and --
Linda: Stop. Okay, your stories are always full of holes, but it usually just one story. Here, let me demonstrate - I'll be the Candace and you be the beautiful mother. (clears throat) "Mom, Phineas and Ferb have brought Genghis Khan back from the past, and he's teaching the neighbors how to throw hatchets from horseback!" You see, one story. Candace: They'll probably do that, you know. |
Judge: Juror number 9 state your occupation
Juror 9: I'm between jobs at the moment Doofenshmirtz: Ha! you'll never get out of jury duty with that story! Judge: Dismissed. Juror 9:(sad) Aww, I could've used this on my resume |
Doofenshmirtz: I mean, you destroy the Tri-State Area and what are you ruler of? Rubble. And where's the panache? The je ne sais quoi?
Dr. Diminutive: He's an amateur. Doofenshmirtz: I'm not talking to you! |
Doofenshmirtz: You know, in a few seconds, something should blow up on me, and then we can go home. (Dr. Diminutive playing harmonica) Yep. Any second now. (angrily) Would you quit it with the harmonica?! |
