Phineas and Ferb Wiki

"Alright, everyone. Ferb and I have built a giant waterfall, right. And we wanna do a test run. Who's in?"
Phineas[src]

The Niagara Falls replica is a recreation of Niagara Falls built by Phineas and Ferb to test the feeling of going down the genuine article.

History[]

Linda sees her sons under the broken sprinkler in the backyard, as she goes out to the hardware store in search of tools to fix it. Hearing her remark about it looking like Niagara Falls, Phineas wonders if his brother knows anything of it, to which Ferb replies by dishing some basic facts relating to the waterfalls. Motivated, the boys decide to construct a recreation of the famous water bodies. Following the ride's completion, the brothers offer their arriving friends the chance to do a test run of the creation.

Meanwhile, Candace has been tasked by Jeremy to babysit Suzy for a few hours. The little girl displays a much nicer demeanor than normal, willing to aid her rival in the goal of busting Phineas and Ferb. Demonstrating her control tactics on the creative duo, Suzy instigates Candace to do the same in a scheme to get the boys to bust themselves. A piped up big sister goes up to her siblings in order for them to call their mother, handing a cell phone so that they can do so.

Their parent notified of the day's exploits, Phineas and Ferb cue Buford to start the ride. The spectacular fall delights both the kids with a fun activity, and Candace with being close to her summer-long objective. Drenched, the brothers are pushed to greet Linda in the front yard, giving a firsthand account of their invention. Ultimately, the waterfall is attached to a giant foot by a piece of gum, dropping off at a rowdy couple's new spring water commerce ("Suddenly Suzy").

Design[]

The Niagara Falls replica is a giant waterfall consisting of a mount made with gray papier-mâché rocks, a dark gray truncated cone base, a huge light gray faucet with a valve in its left side; and decorative trees throughout the design. Accessibility features include a ladder to the top, and a barrel for the ride.

Mechanics[]

The Niagara Falls replica can be ridden down using a current from above. Getting inside the barrel, the riders have to wait for another person to spin the valve, unloading the flow of water onto their direction. Afterwards, the left out individual can join the users before the fall, allowing everyone to enjoy the artificial waterfall.

Background Information[]

  • While only a single waterfall is built, Niagara Falls is in reality a group of three water bodies located between Ontario and New York.
  • Ferb brings up that Niagara Falls is over 167 feet high, making it a popular spot for daredevils. To be precise, this number is the collective height of the falls; individually, the Horseshoe and American Falls are 188 feet (57.3 m) high, while Bridal Veil Falls stands at 181 feet (55.2 m).
  • For the test run, Baljeet has to ask Buford for permission, continuing the child-parent thematic of the latter's baby carrier.
  • Suzy's showcase of her abilities involves her acquiring lemonade from Phineas and Ferb, with the power of suggestion.
  • When Linda receives Phineas' call, she comments on the abnormality of him saying Candace's usual nonsense.
  • Buford leaves the gum on the faucet because of Isabella's proposition to eighty-six the food as a choking hazard, leading to the invention's disappearance.
  • Soon after the fall, Baljeet realizes that Buford had not gotten back into the barrel. Right then, the bully lands above the nerd, who is apparently the intended target.
  • Since the faucet is not turned off, a continous stream of water is formed towards the base, essentially transforming the waterfall into a fountain, thus enabling the joke of the spring bottling plant.
  • In the end, only the broken sprinkler remains in the backyard, before Linda covers the leak upon entering while carrying the necessary part.
  • To console Candace on her failure, Suzy states that "results may vary" on her method, alluding to the common product disclaimer for adverse usage outcomes.
