"Look at how old-fashioned I still am. I'm writing a letter. By hand."
— Nana Shapiro's friend[src]

Nana Shapiro's friend is an old lady who resides at the Danville Senior Center Lodge with Nana Shapiro.

Biography[]

At the Danville Senior Center Lodge, Isabella talks with her grandmother about the old days. Noticing the girl's enthusiasm, Nana's friend shows that she still writes letters, confusing Isabella, who wonders why the elders don't use modern technology. Nana and her friend explain the benefit of communicating via letter, the ease of expressing feelings without losing confidence, piquing the girl's interest. Upon hearing of Isabella's desire to tell someone how she feels, Nana's friend gives her a pen and paper, with which she quickly puts together her thoughts ("Operation Crumb Cake").

Physical appearance[]

Nana's friend is light-skinned and has grey hair and blue eyes. She wears a light pink-red jumpsuit with dark pink-red lines, and pink-red ear plugs.

Personality[]

She is laid-back and lively. Much like Nana, she is a relaxed person, calmly writing while Isabella and her grandmother talk. Despite this, she seems to be full of energy, excitedly speaking about her old-fashioned style and helping Isabella.

Relationships[]

Nana[]

She appears to be close to Nana. Both like to reminisce about the old times, especially in the presence of someone younger.

Isabella[]

She takes a liking to Isabella and her eagerness, likely because it reminds her of her youth.
