"Baljeet, aren't you in the bathroom?" — Mrs. Tjinder[src] |
Mrs. Tjinder is the mother of Baljeet and a member of a group of moms in Danville.
Biography[]
She notifies her son of Mishti's arrival at their house while he is brushing his teeth. Baljeet jumps out the window and comes back at the front door, to his mother's confusion. Anxious, he tells his mother what he did and asks for her to leave so he can greet Mishti ("That Sinking Feeling").
On another day, Candace calls her and the other moms to catch Baljeet and Buford, who are taking the places of Phineas and Ferb. Linda, Biffany, Mrs. Tjinder, and Mrs. Du Bois arrive in the driveway and are guided by Candace to the backyard, only to find the actual Phineas and Ferb. Still thinking that they are Baljeet and Buford in disguise, Candace tries to pull it away, unsuccessfully. Unsurprised, Linda invites the other mothers to a cup of tea ("Not Phineas and Ferb").
She accompanies Linda, Vivian, and Mrs. Johnson to the Doo Wop Hop, singing a 50s-themed tune on their way there ("My Sweet Ride"). She is present at the Tjinder family picnic, in which their vindaloo competes with the Van Stomm family's bitterballen ("It's No Picnic").
Physical appearance[]
Mrs. Tjinder is dark-skinned and has black hair styled in a bun and brown eyes. She wears a lime green shirt with a yellow collar, yellow sleeves, and a yellow waistband; olive green pants, and white shoes.
Personality[]
She is caring and considerate. She understands Baljeet's feelings, not questioning him further about his escape and letting him speak to Mishti. When called about her son, she, like the other moms, is concerned for the kids' safety.
Relationships[]
Baljeet[]
She is close to Baljeet, as she understands and respects his requests, and worries about his well-being.
Mothers[]
She is friends with the other mothers, and they seem to often do activities together, such as tea parties.

Background Information[]
- In the first appearance of the group of moms, there is a dark-skinned woman similar to Mrs. Tjinder ("The Fast and the Phineas"). When asked if she is supposed to be Baljeet's mother, Jeff "Swampy" Marsh said that she should have been in hindsight.[1]
- Mrs. Tjinder is mentioned by Linda when she asks about her to a clone of Baljeet, who says that she is doing well ("Primal Perry").
