“ | You are one of the hardest workers I know. You're not just an intern. You're more than an intern. | ” |
— Major Monogram |
Carl tries to help Perry stop Doof while working three other part-time jobs.
Episode Summary[]
The kids have a game of rocket-powered lacrosse, while sending a ball between Danville and Africa with a giant racket. Perry is called in late to deal with Doofenshmirtz's latest plot. Carl goes to his series of part-time jobs, where incidentally Doof is pulling off his plot to bother people using live fish—Monogram tells Carl to help Perry sort this out quickly because of his expensive overtime pay. Carl assuages the issues that Doof creates as Perry pursues him across a restaurant, a birthday party, and during a pizza delivery. Perry foils Doof's plot to put a fish in the hands of everyone in Danville as the result of this takes away the racket, and Carl delivers the pizza to Monogram, who makes his parking at O.W.C.A. free in return for his efforts to help the organization.

Background Information[]
- Carl is revealed to work three different part-time jobs (a restaurant server, a clown, and a pizza delivery person) to supplement his income.
Production Information[]
International Premieres[]
Errors[]
- In Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Across the 2nd Dimension, Carl's eyes without his glasses on were depicted as normal eyes. Here, they are simply depicted as green dots with no sclerae. This animation error would be repeated in "The Ballad of Bubba Doof".
- If the daytime is depicted in yellow and the nighttime in blue on the globe map installed in the giant racket, the yellow area covers the South Pole and the blue area covers the North Pole, which should be reversed assuming the episode takes place during the summer.
- Furthermore, if Phineas and Baljeet's theory of the ball arriving in 11 minutes and in the morning in Africa is correct, the Earth's rotation (displayed as the moving colored areas) should be traveling westward rather than eastward.
Continuity[]
- The idea of Carl being a "paid intern" is mentioned again. ("Where's Perry? (Part Two)")
Allusions[]
- "More Than a Feeling" - The title references the 1976 song by Boston.
- Ratatouille - The screenplay writer who was mistaken to be a food critic by Carl resembles Anton Ego from the Disney/Pixar film.
- Rocko's Modern Life - The pizzeria Carl works for as a delivery boy is called "Pizza Face Pizza", which was also the name of the pizza place the characters on this show ordered from, which Dan Povenmire, Jeff "Swampy" Marsh and Martin Olson previously wrote for.
Trivia[]
- The pizzeria has pizza caricatures of Love Händel, Lindana, Dan Povenmire, and Jeff "Swampy" Marsh.
- Ferb isn’t wearing his usual outfit and he doesn’t have any scenes alongside Phineas and their friends.
- Baljeet tells the gang the ball will be at Kilimanjaro in eleven minutes, which is the typical length of a Phineas episode.
- A poster over Carl's desk has a reminder saying "November 31st is Agent Intern Day". This is most likely a joke, since November only has 30 days.
- The reveal of Ferb being a food critic may be a call back to him also leading a secret double life as initially revealed in Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Across the 2nd Dimension as a joke.
