"I, M.O.D.O.K., the perfect combination of human intellect and machine, have interfaced with all of the digital information stored on the vast network, the World Wide Web!"
— M.O.D.O.K.[src]

M.O.D.O.K. (Mental Organism Designed Only for Killing) is a supervillain who works with a group of evil beings. A mutagenically altered technician of A.I.M. with superior intelligence, he teams up with Doofenshmirtz to defeat the Avengers and take over the Tri-State Area.

Biography[]

Background[]

George Tarleton is a technician for Advanced Idea Mechanics. To analyze and improve the Cosmic Cube he had developed, A.I.M. scientists decide to use mutagenics to alter him, creating the human computer M.O.D.O.C. (Mental Organism Designed Only for Computing), which is placed in a hoverchair to support his huge head. This backfires, as he becomes insane and murders his creators. Renaming himself to M.O.D.O.K., he takes over A.I.M. and utilizes it to terrorize the superheroes.

"Mission Marvel"[]

In New York City, he, along with Red Skull, Venom, and Whiplash, fights Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, and Spider-Man. He and Red Skull bring an anti-matter weapon to destroy the heroes, only for it to be shot by Iron Man and thrown into a nearby river by Hulk before they can blast the city. The villains are then defeated, but the heroes are suddenly zapped, scaring M.O.D.O.K. and the others into leaving.

At Red Skull's castle, the footage of the Avengers being hit by a ray is reviewed. To the complaints of his companions, M.O.D.O.K. is called by Skull to reveal who is responsible for the heroes' loss of power. Having scanned the internet, the human computer states that Doofenshmirtz is the one behind what happened. With this information, the villains ready themselves to go to the doctor's place in Danville.

At Evil Inc., the villains introduce themselves to Doofenshmirtz and ask to view his inventions in hopes of finding the device that drained the heroes' powers. Passing through the Hall of Inators, the doctor shows them a variety of unrelated machines, to their confusion. They wonder about the Power-Drain-inator, which Doofenshmirtz says had been destroyed by his nemesis, and order him to rebuild it, while letting him think that they are cooperating. Before starting to work, the doctor informs them of errands he has to run, inviting them to come along.

Doofenshmirtz and the villains go around town committing petty crimes. At the mall, they have enough of the doctor's foolishness and begin terrorizing it to get the heroes' attention. The Avengers, now with switched powers, arrive to stop the evil group, but are beaten and captured. Following a struggle with a sticky Thor, M.O.D.O.K. traps the Asgardian in a mindball. As Skull declares victory, a masked vigilante comes and rescues the heroes, to the villains' dismay.

Back at Doofenshmirtz's lair, the doctor presents the re-made inator and its core parts that power it. Upon asking what the group wants it for, Doofenshmirtz is trapped by them, who explain their scheme to destroy the Tri-State Area, weaken all superheroes, and take over the world. Prior to leaving, they attack and ensnare Perry, whom they had noticed sneaking near the ceiling. In the City Hall, the group makes a public threat to eliminate the Tri-State Area if the heroes do not show up, forcing the Avengers to come.

In downtown Danville, the villains wait for the heroes' arrival, sensing their presence in a bus. Like predicted, the Avengers come out of the bus and are quickly beaten. While M.O.D.O.K. keeps Spider-Man enclosed in a mindball, Whiplash throws Iron Man up into the air to be caught by Hulkjeet. Out of nowhere, waffles start to rain from above, causing the villains to release the heroes. Spider-Man takes the reactor core of the inator, ensuing a fight. Guarding the core, the Avengers resist their foes throughout a park.

The evil group gathers the core's parts, but Phineas and Ferb's falling space station smashes the weapon before it can fire. Thanks to Candace and Isabella, the heroes' powers are restored. A final fight takes place to settle matters, on which the villains are defeated and detained on the Quinjet.

Physical appearance[]

M.O.D.O.K. is a light-skinned human head with brown hair and white pupilless eyes. He has a yellow armored hoverchair with orange, brown, and black details, and a booster to control his levitation; a purple headband with a red area for his mind attacks; and purple spots with dark purple details to fit his limbs.

Personality[]

He is cold and calculated. A human computer, he takes into account every possibility before crafting a plan, going so far as to search the entirety of the internet to be sure. He has no issues with annihilating humans, animals, or other lifeforms, being the primary lethal weapon of the villains.

Relationships[]

Villains[]

M.O.D.O.K. has positive relationships with his fellow villains. He acts as the right-hand man to Red Skull, providing intel and developing devices for their schemes, while Venom and Whiplash accompany them.

The Avengers[]

Much like his teammates, M.O.D.O.K. despises the Avengers. He has expressed a strong desire to exterminate them, taking the opportunity to do so when they are weakened.

Doofenshmirtz[]

M.O.D.O.K. does not care about Doofenshmirtz, and instead is only interested in finding the invention that de-powered the heroes.

Perry and Kids[]

As with the Avengers, M.O.D.O.K. wishes to destroy Perry and the kids, taking offense to the former's rescue of the heroes.

Background Information[]

  • M.O.D.O.K. is referred to as two separate objects by two people; he is first called a big schnitzel by Red Skull, and later a giant chicken egg with a face by Gordon Gutsofanemu.
  • As the villains prepare to go to the Evil Inc., M.O.D.O.K. is excited to ride the shotgun of their transportation, but is reminded by Red Skull that he does not fit in the position.
  • According to Doofenshmirtz, he had attempted to use a body like M.O.D.O.K.'s in the '90s, but gave up because it was too difficult to maneuver.
  • When he is unable to enter the Hall of Inators, M.O.D.O.K. comments on Danville having small doors, implying that he lives on a place with big passages for his size.
  • While walking around town with Doofenshmirtz, M.O.D.O.K. passes by the Giant Floating Baby Head and shrugs at it. This is a joke on both entities being giant levitating heads.
  • For the public threat, M.O.D.O.K. modifies the Power-Drain-inator to drain energy and matter in addition to power.
  • M.O.D.O.K. is voiced by Charlie Adler, reprising his role from Avengers Assemble. Adler's guest appearance was revealed by Jeff "Swampy" Marsh on Twitter on April 23, 2013.[1]
