"Jump Right to It" is a song from "Night of the Living Pharmacists" sung by the Fireside Girls (mainly Gretchen and Ginger) to encourage Isabella to finally reveal to Phineas how she feels about him.
Lyrics[]
Gretchen: You better jump right to it,
Tell that boy how you feel.
Just get out there and do it,
It's not such a big deal.
Gretchen and the Fireside Girls: You've been waitin' all summer
Now it's time to reveal
You better jump, jump,
Jump right to it.
Gretchen: You've gotta step right up
You know he thinks that you're cute,
C'mon and bounce right up
Get off your patoot.
Gretchen and the Fireside Girls: This isn't the time
To be shy, coy, or cute.
You better jump, jump,
Jump right to it.
Ginger: Why you waiting, Isabella?
Why hesitating? He could be your fella.
It's been your predilection
To move in the direction
Away from the romantic
And into the semantic.
Fireside Girls: So it makes us somewhat frantic.
Gretchen: Go on and get it,
'Cause you're a real catch.
Hold your head high
Ginger: You can earn a new patch.
Fireside Girls: All summer long,
You sang the same tired song.
You better jump, jump,
Jump right to it.
You better jump, jump,
Jump right to it!
Background Information[]
- This is first time Gretchen is a lead singer.
- Second time Ginger is a lead singer ("Waggle Dance" in "Bee Story").
- Second song where a Fireside Girl other than Isabella is the lead singer ("Waggle Dance" in "Bee Story").
- The preliminary line "This isn't the time to be deaf, dumb, or mute" was retained both in the final track (via backing vocals) and in foreign versions, such as the Castilian Spanish one.
- Considering the softened retakes on "Raging Bully" or "Ain't No Kiddie Ride", this preliminary line would have been discarded on Gretchen's vocals to avoid potential ableist displays.
