Jonathan Kimble "J. K." Simmons (born January 9, 1955) is an American actor. One of his best known live-action roles is newspaper mogul J. Jonah Jameson in the original Spider-Man film trilogy, a role that he reprised for such animated projects as Ultimate Spider-Man and Marvel's Avengers Assemble. He is also the voice of Yellow in the M&M ads and the voice of Grunkle Ford in Gravity Falls. In 2015, he won the Golden Globe Award for Outstanding Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Movie and an Academy Award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role for his performance in Whiplash as a music teacher. For Phineas and Ferb, he provided the voice of J.B. in "Toy to the World" and Napoleon in "Doof 101" and "O.W.C.A. Files".
