Holiday Starglobe is a cardmaking game based on Disney Channel shows, developed by Curious Media for the Disney website on December 25, 2013. It was the final gift of that year's Fa-La-La-Lidays event.

Gameplay[]

Visitors are shown an empty snow globe template in the middle of the screen, aptly stamped "A Disney Holiday". Both sides of the display have customization alternatives, with the left comprising a multitude of characters and the right comprehending a plethora of scenarios. Dragging a single option from these into the field enables the formation of a simplistic ornament, which can be grabbed for a nice shaking to unleash a snowy rainfall inside like an authentic artefact. For the live-action humans, a few season outfits may be picked to complement the visuals.

Background Information[]

  • Within the game, its title is given as simply Star Globe, while in the website it was fully denominated under Holiday Starglobe.[1]
  • Series highlighted in the festive sandbox are A.N.T. Farm, Austin & Ally, Good Luck Charlie, Jessie, Liv and Maddie, Gravity Falls, Dog with a Blog, and Phineas and Ferb.
  • Curiously, Stan from Dog with a Blog is positioned between the Gravity Falls cast in the character bar. This is likely an in-joke on the dog and Grunkle Stan, who is found directly below, incidentally sharing a name.
  • A summation of 754 chilly blends are possible to concoct in the holiday toypit, factoring in all character, backdrop, and attire choices at hand. Of those, 663 come from live-action personas and 91 arise from cartoon originals.
  • There is a transferable printable in the activity, located here, embodying several spheres spotlighting every member from the respective shows, except Olive from A.N.T. Farm, to be correctly cut and folded so as to craft greeting cards.
