"I could have forgot the coal. I'm old!" — Glenda Wilkins in "Last Train to Bustville" |
Glenda Wilkins is a train conductor from the Tri-State Area. She is an old friend of Betty Jo and Clyde Flynn. ("Last Train to Bustville")
She decided to make one last attempt of reaching Gearhart Summit with her steam locomotive before the engine was retired, and took Betty Jo, Linda and Candace along for the attempt. Having been told that Candace misinterpreted her speech on not giving up, Glenda pretended that there was no more coal on purpose in order to teach the teen a lesson. Due to the shortage of coal, the engine slowed down prior to the summit. Candace dismantled the passenger cars in order to provide more fuel for the engine and the train did reach the top.
