"Oh, sorry, Candace. We're having a Giant Pillow Fight." — Phineas[src] |
The Giant Pillow Fight is a pillow fight held by Phineas and Ferb in specially designed machines.
History[]
Candace and Stacy are getting ready to go to the mall, when the latter wonders about the former's intentions for the day. Unintentionally, the friend gives the sister an idea for a sacrificial bust, which she heads out to perform in lieu of leisure. Passing by her mother on the way, Candace hints at her plan to play alongside the boys, inviting the parent to check on the kids in break time. Outside the house, the teenager is squashed amidst a pillow fight, dropping the garbage from shock.
Phineas explains the activity to his sister, who takes his spot on the premise of giving it a try. Wishing to grab her mother's attention, Candace begins to continuously collide the mechanical pillows with each other, all the while shouting her every movement. Abruptly, a familiar alien lands in the backyard for a second time, hurrying them out of danger. Oblivious to focus, the determined teenager is pulled into the front yard by the entangled machine, landing safely in the huge pillows near the alarmed group ("Meapless in Seattle").
Design[]
The Giant Pillow Fight consists of two light gray pulley systems with black cords, and a gray hanger that sustains the enormous pillows; the devices are moved by gray karts with a beige seat, four black wheels, two pedals, and two control sticks.
Mechanics[]
The Giant Pillow Fight is a game with the objective of dealing as much damage as possible to the opponent's pillow. Each object can be controlled by moving the sticks, enabling motion in all directions. For extra strategy, players can shift the karts back-and-forth using the pedals.
Background Information[]
- The Giant Pillow Fight's appearance mirrors the Baseball Launcher's role in the prequel; both are game-related inventions enjoyed prior to the main escapade.
- Walking outside, Candace says "what are we going to do today?", a variation of Phineas' "I know what we're gonna do today" line, to express her willingness to participate in their plans.
- The machines appear to function even without pilots, as one maintains its working after Ferb steps out of it.
- Upon hearing from Candace that their mother should see it, Phineas states that someone else would like to view the activity. His sister believes them to be Perry, but the actual answer is Buford.
- The sacrificial bust scheme proceeds throughout the intergalactic adventure, with Candace recording snippets of her actions during it.
- In the end, Candace gets busted for a separate reason, leaving the garbage bag on the floor.
