Background Information[]
- Phineas is quoted as saying "boredom is something which I will not deal with!", altering the phrase from his speech in the episode, "boredom is something with which I will not put!". Additionally, the school question is written as "what did you do over the summer?" instead of "what did we do over the summer?".
- Both of the brothers' beginning activities are purposefully named alliteratively, using the letters "b" and "n", respectively.
- The Spot the Coaster Differences part is a repurposing of the first level from the Spot the Diff minigame created for the event of the same name, albeit featuring a completely different set of changes.
- The catchphrase "Yes, yes it is" is cited twice; firstly in the Sportscaster Response Fill-in and secondly in the back cover.
- In the Secret Code Decoder, the cipher utilized is the substitution algorithm A1Z26, which assigns a number to each letter of the alphabet.
- The Inflate-inator concoction is based on Doofenshmirtz's Deflate-inator from "The Fast and the Phineas".
- The segment regarding Shrinkspheria is entitled By George, I Think B's Got It! in a reference to the line "By Jove, I think she's got it!" from the musical My Fair Lady, replacing "Jove" with George [Washington] and "she" with the hated letter "B". Incidentally, this allusion would be later made in "Phineas and Ferb: Summer Belongs to You!" and "Ferb Latin".
- On the corner of the answers sheet, Ferb provides a note on the nature of a newt, one of the creatures inserted in the Animal Rhyme Crossword, relating it to be "an amphibious animal similar to a salamander".
- Characters seen and/or mentioned in the book are Phineas, Ferb, Candace, Announcers Dave and Rick, Dr. Doofenshmirtz, Vanessa, Perry, Buford, Baljeet, Isabella, Major Monogram, Grandpa Clyde, Badbeard, the George Washington and Abraham Lincoln robots, Meap, Bango-Ru, and Mitch.
- Big Ideas nodded to in the book are the Coolest Coaster Ever, 42, Remodelling Mount Rushmore, the Big Top Cirque, the Totally Sick Waterslide of Doom, the Tree Shelter, the Refurbished Treehouse, Grandpa's Dinghy, the Baseball Launcher, Meap's spaceship, and the Haunted House.
- Evil Schemes touched on in the book are the Now-Who's-Blinded-by-Sand-inator, the Deflate-inator, Shrinkspheria, and the Static-Electro-Amplif-inator. Doofenshmirtz Hideout-shaped Island is also brought up, as part of an encoded statement.
- Several episodes are referenced throughout the book:
