"Frenemies" is a song from the episode "Lotsa Latkes". It is sung by Baljeet and Buford.
Lyrics[]
Both: We look good in hats
Long tails and spats
When we hit the town together, baby we know where it's ats
If I were dangling from a ledge he'd
Surely save me with a wedgie
Baljeet: I'm smart, perhaps a bit refined
Buford: And I'm a bit more edgy.
Both: 'Cause we're frenemies
We like disliking one another
Yes, we're frenemies
He's like my least favorite brother
Baljeet: I like complex calculations
Buford: I like physical confrontations
Both: We both have our roles, this is a symbiotic relation...ship
'Cause we're frenemies
We like disliking one another
Yes, we're frenemies
He's like my least favorite brother
You and I, we're not enemies or friends
We're just frenemies to the end!
Background Information[]
- This is the third Broadway song that isn't performed by Dr. Doofenshmirtz. The others were "Snacks" by Linda in "Phineas and Ferb Interrupted" and "Hey Ferb" by Phineas in "Rollercoaster: The Musical!"
- The melody is based on "A Couple of Swells" from the 1948 movie "Easter Parade", originally sung by Fred Astaire and Judy Garland.
- This is the fifth song to be broken up into fragments which are separated by scenes of the episode. The first four were "My Chariot" from "Greece Lightning", "You Snuck Your Way Right Into My Heart" from "Dude, We're Getting the Band Back Together", "Gimme a Grade" from "The Baljeatles" and "Alien Heart" from "Ladies and Gentlemen, Meet Max Modem!".
Production Information[]
- The song was confirmed on July 9, 2011 by Dan Povenmire[1].
Errors[]
- During a moment that occurs after the line "You and I, we're not enemies or friends", Buford's baton is a cane for that brief moment. At the end of the song, it has changed back to a baton.
