Phineas and Ferb Wiki

We all know that Phineas and Ferb have 104 days of summer, but it seem like much more. Even Phineas admits it ("The Curse of Candace"). Then why the choose this number? Summer vacation is usually not so long, on average about 75 days. And why didn't they choose a nice round number like 100?

Well I can think of one logical explaination. Phineas and Ferb was not meant to run for as long as it is currently running. If we look back at some earlier Disney Channel Original Series that are cartoons, like, "American Dragon: Jake Long", "The Emperor's New Groove", and "The Replacements", we can notice that each had two seasons with a total of 52 episodes. Phineas and Ferb was most likely only meant to run for two seasons with a total of 52 episodes (this can be justified by seeing that the first season only had 26 episodes, exactly half of 52). Considering that each episode was originally meant to be two-part; this would have brought a total of 104 episodes. With an episode for each day that would have been their whole summer. —Unsigned message added by Summer104 (talkcontribs)

Personally I don't care about the going over the 104 days logic. As long as we have new episodes I am okay with it.
Plus the "Phineas and Ferb was not meant to run for as long as it is currently running" is not the reason. The reason is because the show is still popular just like Kim Possible which had more than 52 episodes. You forget that they were renewed for a third season during the middle of season 2 and renewed for a fourth during the middle of season 3.
Also you forget that Dan and Swampy does want to keep working on the show so not meant to run as long is not an excuse anymore. —Unsigned message added by Knarrow02 (talkcontribs)
If Phineas and Ferb have a Season 5 that will be another 104 Days of Summer —Unsigned message added by Anomymous Writes (talkcontribs)

The answer is simple: the creators said the episodes take place over several summers not just one. If they all took place during one summer, the boys would have to make a few inventions a day(some episodes indicate they made at least two in some episodes though).Cakeface33 (talk) 13:47, May 2, 2014 (UTC)
