The Flynn-Fletcher backyard tree, once called Phineas' tree by Isabella, is an oak tree located in the backyard of the Flynn-Fletcher house, appearing in almost every one of the kids' adventures. Phineas and Ferb often come up with their Big Ideas while sitting under it, as doing so helps them think ("The Phineas and Ferb Effect").
The tree appears to be a large oak plant, its leaves hiding all but two of its many branches. One of the many entrances to Agent P's lair is within it, opened via a button hidden on its stump, implying that it may not be natural or has been hollowed out ("Ready for the Bettys").
History[]
A staple of the boys' daily life, the tree is frequently adopted as a source of inspiration for their ambitious summer projects, with the duo routinely sitting within its shadow to start the days off right by getting some creative sparks. They are joined by Isabella, Baljeet, Buford, and other friends in many occasions to enhance the arboreal brainstorming process, whilst sometimes taking a time out to relax in the comfortable leaf cover or to play casual games alongside the typical group, turning the plant into an unofficial natural headquarters.
Another squad has a crucial use for the tree, seeing as it holds a hidden passage to a secret office on its stump, through which Perry is able to conduct several of his agent missions. Aside from this artificial modification, the plant seems to be in regular state, providing for its owners a reliable clock to the seasonal changes according to the condition of the leaves and an appropriate green decoration to a modest yard. It remains largely unchanged for at least a decade, being eventually appreciated in the future through a holographic replica.
Design[]
The backyard tree is a common oak tree with a light brown trunk, over a hundred noticeable light brown branches, and an immense dark green foliage mass, stationed near the fence. Its leaves gradually fall during autumn until none are left around winter, bringing upon a reflourishing throughout the spring up to a normal exterior in the summer months.

- Lying underneath the tree has been cited by the brothers as one of the best summer pleasures there is (Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Across the 2nd Dimension).
- The tree has been tampered with on multiple occasions throughout the show, either directly or indirectly:
- In "Rollercoaster", the titular ride's vehicle lands atop this tree when the ride ends. Once everyone leaves the ride, it explodes, causing the tree's upper half to be burnt to a crisp. The tree soon returns to its normal state in subsequent days.
- In "Minor Monogram", Phineas and his friends transform the tree's leaves into autumn leaves to form a massive leaf pile in order to create S'Fall.
- In "O.W.C.A. Files", this tree, along with the Flynn-Fletcher household, is destroyed due to a misfire of Dr. Doofenshmirtz's rockets. The house is quickly repaired, but the tree had to be replaced with a pine tree, which the family notices.
