"Disco Miniature Golfing Queen" is a song from the episode "Put That Putter Away". In the song, Stacy is described as the queen of miniature golf.
Lyrics[]
(Disco piano solo)
Stepping on the greens in her designer jeans
She's the disco miniature golfing queen
Wearing plaid and sequins, she can make the scene
She's the disco miniature golfing queen
Like a vision from a disco golf magazine
With her putter, she's a hole-in-one machine
She can dance and swing and really shake her thing
She's a disco miniature golfing queen
She's a disco miniature golfing queen!
Disco Miniature Golfing King[]
(Disco piano solo)
Phineas: He's a Disco Miniature Golfing King!
He can dance and swing and really shake his thing
He's the disco miniature golfing king
In his summer scene, wearing savory jean
He's the disco miniature golfing king
Like a vision from a disco golf magazine
With his putter, he's a hole-in-one machine
He can dance and swing and really shake his thing
He's the disco miniature golfing king
(Instrumental interlude)
He can dance and swing and really shake his thing
He's the disco miniature golfing king
In his summer scene, wearing savory jean
He's the disco miniature golfing king
Like a vision from a disco golf magazine
With his putter, he's a hole-in-one machine
He can dance and swing and really shake his thing
He's the disco miniature golfing king
He's the disco miniature golfing king!
Background Information[]
- In discussing their songwriting process in an interview about their first Emmy nomination, Dan Povenmire stated this song was written to fill the need for "a song that sounds like ABBA about miniature golf".[1]
- Stacy goes through three outfits in this song.
- This song's melody is similar to Dancing Queen by the Swedish group ABBA and Winter Wonderland.
- Most of the girls in this song had straight hair, except Holly and Adyson, and all the boys in this song had curly hair. This was a popular trend in the 1970s.
- The song was used during the "Phineas and Ferb's Rockin' Rollin' Dance Party" at Disney California Adventure.
- In Disney's Phineas and Ferb: The Best LIVE Tour Ever!, this song was parodied as "Disco Miniature Golfing King".
- Katie and Milly are the only Fireside Girls who do not appear.
- Gretchen and Ginger are dancing in the podium as silhouettes.
Trivia[]
- The instrumental section before the piano solo is slightly shorter in the episode than it is in the album version.
- This is the first time throughout the show where Stacy is seen with earrings, considering that she got her ears pierced in "I, Brobot".
- The instrumental version of this song is heard in "The Bully Code" and "Night of the Living Pharmacists" as well as the Milo Murphy's Law episode "Disco Do-Over".
