Candace and Jeremy make a Perry documentary as the kids play an extreme game of croquet. Meanwhile, Perry has to hurry to thwart Doofenshmirtz's plan to lull the Tri-State Area to sleep before the robotic duplicate used in his absence explodes due to instability.
Episode Summary[]
The episode opens with Phineas and the gang introducing Croquet Y-8, a futuristic sport involving oversized mallets, quantum portals, and pyrotechnics, created to fill the gap between their previous inventions, Football X-7 and Hockey Z-9. Jeremy arrives looking for Perry, asking Candace to help him make a zoology documentary featuring her pet for his college course. Candace agrees, planning to film Perry while keeping an eye on her brothers' latest project.
When Perry's watch beeps, he activates his secret lair but must improvise a robotic decoy to fool Candace and Jeremy. Major Monogram briefs him on his mission: Dr. Doofenshmirtz has been working on animal husbandry. Carl warns that the Perry-bot models are unstable and will malfunction after three hours.
At Doofenshmirtz Evil Inc., Doof traps Perry in a knitted sweater and unveils his plan. He has invented the Go-to-Sheep-inator, which rehydrates dehydrated sheep to make everyone in Danville fall asleep. Perry escapes his trap, and a chaotic battle ensues, culminating in a chase atop rolling sheep as Doof's inator floods his apartment with sheep. Perry reverses the device's effects, reversing the inator just before it explodes.
Back at the Flynn-Fletcher house, Candace struggles to juggle filming Perry and busting her brothers. The Perry-bot malfunctions—screaming, smoking, and deflating—while Candace narrowly avoids Croquet Y-8 projectiles. Linda, hearing about Jeremy's Perry movie, decides to come home and see for herself. As Candace collapses from exhaustion, the Perry-bot finally self-destructs, and the real Perry quietly replaces it without being discovered.
Linda arrives to find Candace and Perry asleep on the couch and snaps a photo of them. The boys return inside after their croquet game is destroyed by a runaway sheep ball and Baljeet and Ferb fall asleep from counting the sheep. Linda comes out and invites them in for snacks and Baljeet wakes up while being dragged.
Meanwhile, the Farmer's Wife berates her husband for buying a sheep farm without sheep. While the sheep ball rolls by, the Farmer informs her those are not the sheep he ordered, as they will arrive later in the afternoon.

Baljeet: Huh. Finally the opportunity to show off my mad mallet skills! Ferb: If opportunity doesn't knock, build a door. Or a hoop with a portal. |
Jeremy: Hey, have you guys seen Perry?
The gang (including Ferb): In the house. Buford: What's next? Stacy shows up and asks, "Whatcha doin'?" |
Ferb: This is not croquet. The gang (including Ferb): This is Croquet Y-8! |
Baljeet: Seeing as there are 34 sheep in the circumference, if we calculate the sheep radius and multiplied by y divided by 3πr², you would get... zzzzzzzzz... Ferb: 589 sheep. Zzzzzzzzzzzz..... |
Oh, there you are, Perry[]
Candace: Perry? Perry, where are you? There you are, my monotreme mon ami. |

Background Information[]
- Mon ami is French for "my friend".
Production Information[]
- This episode was first teased on Dan Povenmire's TikTok account on August 12, 2025.[1]
International Premieres[]
Errors[]
- Buford suggests doing the sport "Demolition Derby G-48" in the future. However, this doesn't follow the alphanumeric device they had set up for naming sports. If one were to assume that the letters of the alphabet repeat after Z, the number "48" would be associated with the letter "M".
Continuity[]
- Croquet Y-8 was first mentioned in passing in "For Your Ice Only", when Baljeet asked Phineas why they skipped from Football X-7 ("My Fair Goalie") straight to Hockey Z-9.
- One of the croquet balls passes by the HMS Lindana from "Swiss Family Phineas".
- The giant croquet balls operate similarly to the giant bowling ball from "Bowl-R-Ama Drama".
Allusions[]
- Kim Possible - Candace asks Jeremy “What’s the sitch?”, which references the title character’s iconic catchphrase from this show.
- "Do you even lift, bro?" - Doof does a variation on this meme regarding bodybuilders by saying "Do you even sheep, bro?"
- Raiders of the Lost Ark - A flock of sheep get clumped up into a giant ball, similar to the boulder that chased Indy at the start of the film.
- All's Well That Ends Well - Doof quips, "All's 'wool' that ends 'wool'", a pun on the title of this Shakespeare play.
Trivia[]
- This is the second time a family member's robotic stand-in has been used for a Candace related activity when the real one can't participate ("I Was a Middle Aged Robot").
- The second time Perry had to be used by Candace and Jeremy for their actitvity. ("Misperceived Monotreme").
- First time Jeremy asks about the whereabouts of Perry.
- Shubha Vedula fills in for an unavailable LC Powell as the singer of the Perry jingles.
- Fourth time Monogram calls Perry by name. ("Toy to the World", "Phineas and Ferb-Busters!", "Phineas and Ferb: Mission Marvel")
- Monogram calls Doof a "mad scientist", even though Doof despises that description and prefers "evil scientist".
- The title is somewhat misleading, since the Croquet Y-8 plot mainly occurs in the background of the Candace and Jeremy subplot.
- While Candace has whispered before, this is the first instance of her doing a full on ASMR like whisper, which rarely occurs in the show.
- Candace tries multi tasking again ("The Inator Method").
- This is the fifth time Perry is called a monotreme ("Swiss Family Phineas", "Misperceived Monotreme", Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Across the 2nd Dimension, "Doofapus").
