"It does absolutely nothing." — Ferb[src] |
Brick is a toy that was manufactured by the Har D Har Toy Company. It is a very simple toy, if you can even call it a toy, being nothing more than a brick; it was even better at doing nothing than Perry the Inaction Figure, which is likely why Phineas and Ferb called it a stupid idea.
Background information[]
The Har D Har Toy Company began to run out of ideas after Phineas and Ferb left the company. However, one of the employees found a brick in his office next to shattered glass. The owner of the company, J.B., said it was "brilliant", and thus was the creation of the brick toy. Advertisements on the brick started appearing on television, with them just being an animation of bricks falling from the sky with words on them, spelling "BRICK!" , and the ad just saying that "it's fun" without saying much else.
Phineas and Ferb, after seeing the ad, dissed it, saying it was a dumb idea. On the other hand, lots of other kids in the area wanted to have their own brick, rushing and crowding into the toy store just to get a brick, which J.B. responded to by saying that they were "selling like pancakes". According to the show, each brick costs $30. To promote the toy, Har D Har employees had to wear brick costumes, which embarrassed Candace - and possibly other employees as well.
