Agent Alert is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game based on Phineas and Ferb, developed by Steven Hadcroft for the Disney UK website on March 24, 2013 and for the Disney US homepage on July 25, 2014. Players were instigated to register an account and conceive of a striking robot to protect Danville from an automaton mayhem.
Plot[]
A mechanical commotion is provoked by Doofenshmirtz throughout the city owing to his Doofenbot-Creator-inator, so Perry and some fresh recruits are requested to team up in a special operation to demolish the device and halt the havoc. Since the spies are outnumbered, the task force is asked to build attacking robots from the available scrap parts to fight fire with fire, eventually backing the first few waves of Doofenbots into a corner. Operatives soon invade the evil corporation and uncover a rogue agent who has been propagating the chaos.
The crew is thrown into a ring of Doofenbot Toys later on as a form of distraction, while two big specimens are manufactured. Challenging one leads to Agent P becoming a prey to a separate army, forcing the agents to take a detour on the tracks to save the platypus, while the doctor continues to fabricate his diabolical droids. Finally, the squad is able to defeat the second huge robot and eventually knock down the last crowd of robotic ruckus, thereby permitting them to take hold of the contraption and cease the scientist's catastrophe once and for all.
Gameplay[]
A login registration had been required to access the virtual world, consisting of a user e-mail and a password. Passing the verification stage enabled visitors to design their own quirky robot, whose parts covered the head, the torso, the left and right arms, the legs, and the hat, each piece within being further miscible with one of the stored colors. Once the droid is finalized, the player is prompted to pick a three-word name and decide on an initial skill set distribution, spread out between the abilities of strength, speed, intelligence, flight, and stealth.
Afterwards, the machine is released on the spy headquarters, where the user is instructed as to their mission and to the navigation options. Touching the map unlocks paths to the scoutable sections of the town, through which one may talk with roaming characters to progress the story operations. Action battles are started from the agent lair, selecting the automaton to begin and androids pertaining to other friended persons as auxiliary forces, all controllable using the mouse to switch allies and shoot foes, who must be wiped out for completion.
Power-ups that enhance certain aspects of the android are collectable during combat. Winning a fight results in the visitor earning cogs, a currency employable to purchase new components for the robot, which can be seen and settled on the workshop. Another accessible room is the training chamber, containing minigames revolving around every aptitude in a manner of providing additional points for those traits. Besides these, there are extra arcade microgames associated with the main activity, working as an extra way of gaining gears for the account.

- An alternate title for the game is slotted in its SWF files, specifically Project Platypus, a codename likely used as the working handle of the project during the development and testing phases.
- One of the first name choices for the personalized robot is "Swampy", directly referencing series co-creator Jeff "Swampy" Marsh.
- Each constructed machine had an alphanumeric designation parameter named Share Code in the format "XX-XX-XXX", which served as the means to add friends into a specific list. Likewise, a number rank was assigned to the androids depending on the amount of missions and battles that were done, sortable in the people index alongside all of the skills.
- Item gift packs could be sent to other users via the partner catalog, if the recipient wishes to have a bonus or in the case of wanting to surprise someone. This is accomplished by picking the player identification and choosing the unit to be mailed, inducing a notification on the beneficiary's screen about the present.
- Visitors were able to print out their ID cards by tapping the download button, generating a paper version of the spy badge for cutting and showing to real life companions so that they may locate one another's code in the attraction. A help from a grown-up was advised to younger participants for the handling of the fiddly crafting portions.
- Interactable characters encountered in the accessible locations include Phineas, Ferb, and Candace, among others.
- A preview video for the virtual activity was embedded on the website to be played immediately upon its entrance, acting as a calling message to the players under the agency pretext with narration by Major Monogram, whilst a sample of gameplay is showcased in the background.[7]
- For the game's trailer, Dan and Swampy had transparent pictures of themselves and renders of Perry utilized in parodies of three arcade classics, namely Donkey Kong, Space Invaders, and Pac-Man. They played the roles of Jumpman, the titular Invaders, and the eponymic voracious creature in these bits.[8]
